29 weeks and have put a tonne of weight on thighs and bum. Pre preg trousers barely make it past my knees 😖

I put on 4 stone Shock

Only just lost it 16 months post birth...

SprinkleOfInsanity · 07/07/2017 20:54

Could be water retention and gravity making it affect your lower region. Totally normal though, don't panic Smile

Jellybabie3 · 07/07/2017 20:56

You will look fine.

Normal to put on weight in pregnancy.

SprinkleOfInsanity · 07/07/2017 21:01

Jelly you WILL look great, because you'll be marrying someone you love with a lovely baby on the way Smile

Your dress will also cover your legs, if that's what you're worried about. You'll be beautiful, because you'll be happy Flowers

Congratulations on both the impending happy occasions!

Jellybabie3 · 07/07/2017 21:16

Me too 😔 so depressing a feel massive and can hardly move without getting out of breath.

Sasmac2017 · 08/07/2017 07:40

Hey jellybabie. It's ok and yes it's normal. And it totally Sucks. If it's any consolation I put on 85lbs with my first son and lost it all by 5 months pp. I was a huge fat whale. This time I'm almost 34 weeks but have still out on 33lbs. My ass is huge. That's how breast milk is made though. We will be ok. Xx

BigGreenOlives · 08/07/2017 07:45

I reckon you gain more if you were small before pregnancy (unless you lose all self-restraint). Friend of mine had 4 pregnancies, was a different weight at the start of each but gave birth at the same weight each time. I was the same, gave birth when I was 10 1/2 stone & my waist reached 44 inches.

ArgyMargy · 08/07/2017 07:52

Everyone is different of course. But the more you put on, the more you'll need to lose afterwards. You don't need to eat for two or reduce your activity levels (unless you are ill).

I was so careful in my first pregnancy, but lost it all and more quite quickly with breastfeeding and more activity during mat leave. I've lost all self control this time, and yes, huge bum and thighs. Just hoping something similar happens this time too!

ImAFurchester · 08/07/2017 12:46

Or in my case argy, you feel so horrifically sick for the first five months that you have to eat constantly to stop yourself retching, but yet you can't stomach a single fruit or vegetable.

The only things I felt like eating were cheese and bread Blush I'm surprised I didn't put on even more weight!!

It all comes off in the end if you want it to

Jellybabie3 · 08/07/2017 15:52

Yeah thats what happened to me. It was eat or be sick.

Honestly there isn't anything as beautiful as a pregnant bride. You'll look wonderful.Smile

OhWifey · 08/07/2017 16:02

I felt the same; was shocked at thighs and bum. Have stretch marks everywhere. But all that fat is perfectly normal and designed to nourish baby through breastmilk. I lost mine within a few months and those stretch marks are badges of honour for what I made and then nourished.

Lules · 08/07/2017 16:07

I'm probably the same but I'm not going to try! I put on a lot last time but lost it all without really trying. I felt so sick it was a question of just getting through it.

Jellybabie3 · 10/07/2017 11:17

Ok thanks ladies. Not much i can do now i guess
