Bathing support for newborns! Comment with best product😊

So I'm about to become a first time mum and need some advice on bathing for a newborn. I've already decided that I will be using my bath at home to wash baby and not purchase a small separate baby bath. So my question is what kind of bath support is best for a newborn? Like what products have people bought and have worked?

Need opinions x

We had and liked the angle care seat - now with friends who have a newborn (and have promised to pass back for future babies if it's still in usable condition. As a tiny baby I found her low in the bath so it was uncomfortable to hold from the edge - we had a few baths together but it was often inconvenient (we could only do it effectively with me and dh at home). She was lying/sitting on a non slip mat around 6 months (was sitting at 4 months but felt stable enough for bath around 6 months). It's much easier to share a bath with her now (14 months) than when she was little!

We used what was basically a big sponge. Very cheap, was only like a fiver. We did use it in the bottom of the baby bath for a bit but DS grew so quickly we moved to the main bath soon after. Just had the bath quite shallow but deep enough to cover him up so he wasn't cold.

Angelcare, just brilliant.

Either hopped in with him or used the angelcare depending on what was most convenient at the time

Kitchen sink is easier than bath. Less water, kinder to your back and knees, easier to support them with one hand and wash with the other.

There's been a little influx of zombie threads recently for some reason.

Don't waste your money. Very shallow bath and lye then in it. You don't leave them alone so just watch for him/her turning their head too much
