32 weeks - growth slowing

My first baby was just over 6lb at 41 weeks but had no specific health problems - had a lot of issues with feeding and weight gain, but with hindsight I think he had a posterior tongue tie.
I'm expecting number 2 and had the normal scan at 20 weeks at which point the estimated weight was 30% (i.e. 30th centile). I was relieved that baby was looking to be bigger this time.
I had a growth scan yesterday (32 weeks) because of previous small baby and it's now only 7% so I have to go back in 2 weeks for another scan to check growth. Everything else looked fine (fetal Dopplers) and baby continues to be lively.
I don't know how worried I should be about this? The consultant was rushed off her feet yesterday and really didn't have time to talk so I couldn't really discuss it properly. My rational head tells me that if there had been any significant reason to worry they would have done something more than a repeat scan in 2 weeks.
Also I suspect that the only real options if there is a growth problem is to deliver baby early or wait and see and presumably there wasn't enough reason to consider delivering early at this point.
However my hormonal pregnant head is panicking that there's some sort of placenta problem and/or that I've caused this by eating the wrong things/overdoing it etc etc.
I know that some people do just have small babies, I think what is worrying me is the drop in the centiles.
Are there any lifestyle changes that might help the growth? Resting is tricky because I have a lively toddler who will soon be on summer holidays from nursery, but with my first I spent most of the last month watching TV and having afternoon naps and he was still small so I'm not sure rest is the answer.
Anyway, any thoughts welcome! (Apologies in advance if I don't respond to any replies straight away, life is a bit hectic at the moment).

Both my two were five and half pounders and have just had my 36 Week growth scan today with an estimated weight of just over 3lbs and a very small ac measurement and significant slowdown in growth from 28 Week and 32 week scan. All foetal Doppler measurements good and movement fine. My consultant has advised a weekly scan now and an induction booked for before 39 weeks if I do not deliver before. I also have to closely count baby movements with any movement decrease I contact immediately. As it is my third I am not overly concerned, and neither are they as it seems my 'normal' and I have small babies and thankfully healthy. I will just carry on as normal and as I have two toddlers it will not involve rest, have treated myself to a box of chocs to munch later.

Should say estimated weight of 4lbs, not 3lbs.

Thank you Yolo, it's helpful to hear from someone in a similar situation, and that they are not overly concerned about your baby.
I am obviously keeping an eye on movements but it's hard not to get over-anxious about that if baby is having a quiet time for a bit! Do you have any practical strategies for monitoring movements without getting obsessive?!
I will try to see it as a good excuse for stuffing my face with ice cream and chocolate (when toddler isn't looking!) rather than too much of a worry at this point, as there isn't really anything I can do about it.

I think the only thing that stops me obsessing is keeping busy but I am a fidget! I have to make myself stop and relax a little and feel them. My baby seems very inactive until around 2pm then it's all active until late night. Practically maybe times of the day if possible go somewhere quiet, have a hot/ cold drink, read or something you find relaxing for 10-15 mins feel the movements, count the kicks. If at anytime concerned call your unit, with slower growth they will not hesitate to check you and baby. I honestly think if this was my first I would be freaking out. I have been stuffing my face with magnums for the last 3 weeks and feel like a whale but still a tiddler. I have just packed my hospital bag and stuffed in lots of tiny baby clothes again and a few mini formula bottles as I had a nightmare getting breastfeeding going on both previous occasions until they were a few week's old, and had to be readmitted for weight loss and poor feeding. I am dreading that scenario again. Maybe check out the 'count the kicks' website?

Thank you - keeping busy definitely not an issue, sitting down quietly more of a challenge!

We did have a lot of issues with the feeding last time but I don't actually think that was solely related to size.
It's just so hard waiting and seeing what happens!

Hi Yolo, how are you doing? I am conscious that you must be 38 weeks by now and may even have had your baby, so please don't worry about replying if you've got your hands full!
I have just had my next scan at 34 weeks and it's followed its line since 32 weeks so has grown well and otherwise all looks fine (dopplers etc) but they're still talking about induction/ELCS at 37 weeks. Rereading your post I was interested to see that you were planned for induction at 39 weeks - I would much prefer this as 37 weeks seems unnecessarily early to me if it's growing and otherwise seems happy (though I know it's still considered full term). I wonder whether the 37 week recommendation is because it's currently breech? Or because I've had a previous Caesarean?

PS sorry about the name change! I feel better changing it from time to time, though I don't know why really as I never post anything identifying or that I wouldn't say in person anyway.
