Maternity Pay

Is anyone an expert on law and maternity pay?

I have 1 full time job and 1 part time job.
Can I have the 39 weeks off my full time job and receive SMP and then return to work at the part time job and get paid normally from that?

They aren't linked and I'm not entitled to anything from the part time job.

If you are just collecting standard smp and nothing extra requiring you to return to your full time job after maternity leave there should not be a problem if u give proper notice to ur full time job.

Yes you treat the two separately. You can even get Smp from a second job if you meet the criteria. You can also start back at the 2nd job earlier if you like and still get mat leave from the other. Look at www.maternityaction.org.uk/advice-2/mums-dads-scenarios/pregnant/rights-for-parents-with-more-than-one-job/ for full details

Yes - Gruffalo is correct.
