I'm six weeks pregnant and feel nauseous a lot of the time.

How do people deal with this? It's really getting me down :(

Thanks x

Hi lauren

I'm around 6w3d and nausea has really kicked in for me over the past few days. This is dc3 for me but you do forget how it makes you feel Hmm Is this your first pregnancy?

So , I find that eating little and often really helps keep the nausea at a lower level. Bland foods like crackers and sips of water/juice/lemonade really help. Also eat whatever you fancy and don't worry too much about nutrition at this stage, just take the necessary preg vits and you will both be fine!

Also they say enough rest and limiting stress (if poss!) is better to keep nausea at bay!

Good luck, it passes and of course we all know morning sickness is a healthy sign too! Grin

I'm 9+4 and although I'm more sick now in terms of actually being sick, the nausea is definitely easier to deal with. Between 6-8 weeks I was absolutely miserable and honestly didn't think I'd be able to cope. I genuinely think it gets easier in a way because you get used to it - so for me, where you are right now was pretty much the worst bit.

Lots of good advice above, eat little and often, eat whatever you fancy at that time, and stick to bland things. Also stay hydrated and get enough sleep, both made a massive difference to me.

Thanks both!

Yes it's my first pregnancy so all new to me!!

I'm trying to eat toast and water but water swilling around makes me feel worse! I also have a virus right now so got sweats and aches so don't think that's helping!

Thanks x
