Morning Mumsnet users,
I am a new user, so apologies if this is posted in the wrong topic area or something that has been asked again and again recently.
I have tried to search the topic groups but cannot find anything that is recent, most of the opinion I have found are from 2012-2014 and I feel that a lot can change over a period of two-three years.

So I was wondering if anyone has had any recent experience of care in these maternity department that they would like to share, or why they have chosen one hospital over the others.

Many thanks in advance.

Can't comment on Frimley Park or Wexham but I will be having my baby at RBH and I know several people who have had their babies there and had good experiences. However, i'm sure there will be people who will come along and say they didn't have a good experience, but the same could be said for any hospital. What hospital is nearest to you? That must play a large part too?

I guess that is true YouBoggleMyMind, but we are fortunate that we are equal distance from RBH and FPH. Plus since it is our first baby and only recently having found out we are caught up in the magic and paranoia of it all lol...

Can't comment on the other two but I will be having my firstborn at Frimley Park in the next few weeks (37+6 at the moment). A couple of weeks ago we had a bit of a scare and I ended up being admitted to the maternity ward for monitoring over the weekend. The staff were absolutely fantastic, I cannot praise them enough! They also have The Mulberry Suite at FPH, which I haven't seen or experienced myself (though I am considering it), but my best friend used it when having her youngest DS last autumn. It's a midwife led unit, where you have your own room (with sofa for your DP/birth partner) and your own ensuite so gives you some extra comfort and privacy before and after birth. Only drawback is no epidurals unfortunately.

Like I said no experience at the other two hospitals so can't compare, but I've been to Frimley Park many times over the years and think it's absolutely fantastic.

I had dd at Frimley park I can't praise them enough. DD was very ill (as was I) when she was born they were so supportive. Since then I have recently had two stays in Frimley Park for other reasons and again I can not fault how good a hospital it is

I had my first born at Frimley park and they were excellent.

I wouldn't hesitate to have another baby there.

As it was I was only visiting my mum and the baby came then.

I was also born in Frimley Park :-D

I had my eldest daughter at Frimley and they were brilliant! Very supportive, really helped me to establish breastfeeding (if that's what you want, they weren't pushy about it) I had an emergency section and the care I had was excellent. I was originally booked in RBH but changed to Frimley after a few errors by RBH ( lost blood test results several times!) Hope that helps. Good luck whichever one you choose x
