Rubbing bra nightmare - any suggestions?

All my bras are rubbing horribly underneath my boobs - I have a raw line now and have had to put a plaster on. My 29 week bump is sticking out causing a fold of skin under my boobs which is itching and not helping at all. I undo the bra when I can get away with it, and go without if I can (not really on at work...). Any suggestions? I have wondered about 'tit tape' like models wear as an alternative, but no have idea where to get it.

It sounds ike you are wearing the wrong size bra.. was it properly fitted? you need a good soft bra, checked every 4 weeks during pregnancy. When I worked at John Lewis we sold a great bra for less than a tenner to wear druing pregnancy. Are you anywhere near a john lewis?

I'd take it off.

Natural Birth Centre did a lovely one that was very soft with really thick band along the bottom which doubled as maternity/breasfeeding bra.

I had this problem too, bra could just not sit flat because of huge valley between bump and boobs. Try getting fitted with a proper materninty bra, but that didn't help me much either. I ended up just wearing soft crop top things. Not as good support as a bra for shape ,but so much more comfy.

I've had this problem too. I was still wearing underwired bras because, as I'm huge of norkage, I was finding that maternity bras weren't giving me enough support. So, at the suggestion of a lovely lady in the lingerie department of House of Fraser, I switched to non wired sports bras instead. They give excellent support and they're non wired and I have to say that I've been happier with them. If you're finding that wired bras are uncomfortable and maternity bras unsupportive, it might be worth trying a sports bra. In any event, it can't hurt to get yourself measured again.

The other thing that helped with this problem was a moisturising balm I bought from Boots; I applied it to the irritated skin underneath my boobs and it acted as a barrier and stopped my bra from rubbing against the sore skin. It's called Olive, Chamomile, Wheatgerm Pregnancy Wonderbalm and it's from their 'mediterranean' skin care range. You'll find it with the pregnancy skin products usually kept in the baby aisles. It comes in a small tube and only costs a couple of quid.
