Spotting and pain down below at 36 weeks... anyone else?

Sorry if TMI...
This morning I noticed a little bit of bright red spotting after going to the loo. I assumed it was from the back end (have had this before when constipated, etc) and didn't think much of it. A few hours later I noticed a small amount of blood on my pantyliner and a few more drops (really small, only pinprick amounts) when wiping. Seemed to be coming from vagina rather than back passage.

I phoned the midwife unit at my hospital and they said to keep an eye on it, and as I'm rhesus + they're not too worried. They said that if it gets worse or if anything changes, to phone back.

I've had quite a bit of pelvic pain (fanny daggers!) over the last few weeks, varies in intensity day to day. Also a lot of pressure but no cramps/contractions that I've noticed. Today the fanny daggers are really bad, like the dull, persistent ache you get in your lady parts on the first day or two of a heavy period...

Just wondering if anyone else has had similar? I'm 36+5, this is baby number 2...

Did you mention the ache as well as the bleeding?

Thanks for replying! I didn't mention the pain as I didn't have it at that point, it's only really come on since... Not even sure it's connected as it's something I've had for a few weeks now. I did mention the pressure but I assumed that was just from baby being head down (was 2/5s engaged last week)... MW didn't seem worried about that.

Is the baby moving the same as normal?

I would strongly recommend that you attend your clinic, OP. It might be something and nothing; possibly cervical or vaginal irritation. Did you have sex recently for example? Either way, I would advise that you attend to check fetal wellbeing and put your mind at rest. I'm quite surprised your midwife didn't recommend this actually.
