Hello
I'm just wondering if I should get a breast pump before he's born or is it better to wait until he's born and then get one?
Thank you:)

I got a manual one as part of a kit that was on too good a deal not to from mothercare.

If we get on with that and we can persuade bean that daddy and bottle is food, we'll consider spending more on an electric one (but they cost more than this entire kit did in the deal!)

I was planning to bf but got a good deal on an electric one so squirrelled it away 'just in case'
Turned out bf didn't really happen but I expressed and combination fed for the first 2 months. The electric one was a godsend although not as good as the fancy hospital one!

I bought one, and then realised that the easiest and least painful method of expressing was manual. Literally using my hands. Even though I can't remember the price of that breast pump I still lament the money wasted.

I bought a manual tommee tippee one but didn't like it. Unfortunately breast feeding couldn't happen for me for longer than a few weeks but if I was to do it again I'd pay out and get an electric one

I bought an electric Lansinoh pump on day 4 after my milk came in and I was too uncomfortable. Still use it 9 months after for the odd bottle feed, it's really good quality and you can buy bottles to attach straight to it.
