FirstofherName , I had my babies in America and I have no idea what you're talking about! We were told to avoid unpasteurized soft cheese, which was easy since unpasteurized cheese is vanishingly rare to find in the U.S. Nobody ever said not to eat cream cheese! Cakes of any kind are fine. We were also told to make sure cold cuts/deli meat were well heated to avoid listeria.

Certainly not, hence my bewilderment when my pregnant cousin told me she couldn't eat the carrot cake I'd made because of the cream cheese icing!
