I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I work with 18m- 4 year olds in a pre school. Obviously I'm concerned about chickenpox and slapped cheek 😕 should I worry about anything else? Thank you x

You mightve already had those when you were younger? If you are concerned that you haven't had chicken pox ask for your immunity to be checked at your first blood tests.

If you have already had chicken pox then you needn't be worried about that. Same goes for slapped cheek.

Rubella. Have you had two mmr jabs? Unfortunately there's a growing trend of anti vaxers out there!

When you go for your booking appointment, ask your midwife to run tests to see what your immunity levels are. If you have never had chickenpox, you might want to consider being vaccinated anyway as it can be nasty for adults.

You can't have the chicken pox vaccine once already pregnant Cuddled

It's highly likely if you work with children you've had slapped cheek, and I think by the time you are an adult, 90-95% of people have had chicken pox (midwife told me this)
