Fucking hell! Everyone's telling me the last 8 weeks is going to go so slow. Is this true?

Feels like I've been pregnant forever and this is my first! Haven't been feeling the greatest throughout the whole thing (which I think is making it worse) but I just want baby to hurry up and get here now. Really not enjoying being pregnant at the moment.

Yes! I'm SO ready to "pop her out".

I think it was different with DD1. I was extremely anxious (and I mean extremely. More like terrified, actually). I'm definitely more relaxed now that it's our second child...

be patient ladies!

It is worth every dull, refluxy, swollen, sweaty moment!

Spindelina · 19/05/2017 10:08

I miscarried twice in 2016, then got pregnant again, so I spent more of 2016 pregnant than not. And I'm now 32 weeks, so assuming I get past the end of June, the same will be true of 2017.

DD arrived at 40+12, and I've got family history of late'uns (e.g. my brother and I: 40+13 and 15 respectively), so I don't hold out much hope for this one being early. It had better not be - I'm working till 39.5 weeks and I want some time off!

I'm 34 weeks on Sunday with 3rd and it has gone by very quickly until these last few weeks. I ache head to toe, can't sleep and have killer reflux. I just want to sleep the next few weeks away!

cookielove · 19/05/2017 10:15

I thought I would feel like that, I actually miss being pregnant and ds is 2 now! But I gave birth 34 weeks so I didn't get to feel all big and never ending!

wildone81 · 19/05/2017 12:19

I'm 32+3 and I'm so over being pregnant! Section booked for some point in week 39, so at least I know I won't go past 11 July but I'm just done 😕 Off work just now with pregnancy related mental health stuff, and due back in for a bit before I finish up at 35+3.....it's going to be a long 6 and a bit weeks!

List of stuff to be getting on with but just can't be arsed 😳

LauraK your post is me exactly... belly aches constantly, all the wriggling and squirming is SO uncomfortable, sleeping ha ha yeah right. When I eventually do manage to drop off I wake up a few hours later drenched in sweat (classy), the hip I've been lying on aching, takes ages to turn over especially with my pelvis in the state it's in and then I have all the wriggling on the other side as the baby makes itself comfortable in the new position (oh and have to be careful to keep legs extended at all times when lying down so I don't get cramp).

Spent all of today feeling like any kind of movement right now is not possible... So fed up of this and 8 weeks to go!

wildone 11th July is my due date Smile (but I'm trying to pace myself for 41 weeks)

I remember after some of the first few weeks of severe nausea that was present all the time and prevented me from eating and drinking enough (a bagel and 1,5 glasses of water per day) I checked how many days there were before the due date and it was about something more than 200. I counted hours every day and it felt like it would never get better. Well, the worst nausea got better around week 20 or 21, but never went away properly before the baby was born. The easiest month for me was the very last month and a half before the baby was born. My pregnancy really felt like it lasted forever. Time has never felt as long. There was also a reason for this horrible nausea (and lots of other symptoms) and it was a severe SIBO, which was only discovered last October about 4 years later after my health got really bad. Still recovering from that one and the consequences of it. The baby is now a beautiful, lovely 4 year old.

Wow wow wow 34+1 .. sleep is officially a thing of the past, Rolled about the bed most of the night with the most horrendous heart burn ever .. don't think I'm going to be able to eat for the next 6 weeks ConfusedEnvy

RasperryInAMelon · 22/05/2017 07:06

39+5 here and praying 👏🏻 that this little lady makes an appearance soon.

If I get one more text asking how things are or if she's arrived yet, I'm going to loose my rag! 🤦🏼‍♀️

deb1407 · 22/05/2017 08:00

@RasperryInAMelon .. Ahhhh how exciting! I can't wait until I'm at your stage, although I'm hoping to Labour around 38 weeks. Fingers crossed!

Is this your first?

X

RasperryInAMelon · 22/05/2017 10:56

@deb1407 I'm crawling up the walls now... cannot wait for things to start!

CookingDinner · 22/05/2017 22:28

"Not long now!"

Are you sick of hearing that yet?

willothewisp17 · 22/05/2017 23:30

30 weeks here! found out I was pregnant at about 2 weeks, so feels like I've been pregnant for a very long time! every morning I wake up thinking what new symptom am I going to have today! every day brings something even more horrendous different Grin torn between wanting to last the whole ten weeks and keep my little bun in the oven for as long as possible and wishing I'd go a bit earlier!

muffinwaggon · 22/05/2017 23:41

@CookingDinner yes! So fed up of everybody saying that too me! Fingers crossed tho, it hopefully isn't too long 😂

I found out when I was about 2 weeks so it feels like I've been counting down for way too long! Just want my baby here haha.

Good luck with everyone's pregnancy. Hope all babies are well xx

deb1407 · 23/05/2017 05:01

@CookingDinner so true Confused!! Like it's not bad enough - well I slept 10pm - 3am, rolled about for 2 hours there and decided to get up. Think head may be engaged, as movements def feel different the last 2 days xx
