12 week scan went well! help me guess??

So pleased 12 week scan went well had so much worry.
Cant stop staring at scan pics! Obsessive about the gender now!
I'm rubbish at these things.

Would people let me know there skull/nub theory guesses?

I was going to say girl and I see most others have said girl! It's based entirely on the fact your scan looks very different from my DS's. Congratulations!

I'm going with girl.
I have boys, and with their 12 weeks scans the sonographer wouldn't confirm anything but she did say 'they have very upright nubs'

The fourth one has an upright stacked nub, although faint and I can't see it in the others. . That's why I think boy.

Red - that's too high for a nub. That's probably cord. On pic 4, although it's not exact as baby's bottom profile is not clearly seen, what I think is the nub is mulch lower down than the place you are looking at and is more twoblines together, which is what makes me think girl.

This is all so confusing 😂 probably why some people avoid gender guessing so early. But its so hard. Every spare minute I'm studying the pics!! I thought I seen a little straight forked nub. But it could be a bone or a leg or something I am useless at it !

I think the nub is slightly above that, kind of stacked. Too low for an umbilical cord I would have thought? But I am not an expert!

Tatty in your first pic baby has 3 very clear lines which I thought indicated girl. I am in no way a medical professional on this mind.

Mummy - three clear lines is only seen on a "potty shot" at 29 weeks, taken from the view of underneath as if the baby is sat on a potty. That's when the three lines are represented as the lady bits.

At the 12 week scan, the lady bits don't image like that and most babies are in profile which is when the nub can be seen. It images differently depending on the view but with girls it can look like two parallel lines or a long thin line with a fork on the end and with a boy, a longer line with a little line or dot on top - so-called stacked (boys bits basically).

Other indicators are the angle of the line/lines.

This is very non-scientific and is only just fur fun, plenty of so-called girl and bit nubs have turned out to be opposite. The best method is the opinion of a professional sonographer in the 20week scan and even that can be wrong occasionally. All the other speculation is really just for fun

Yes, or the baby is twisted round - not saying it's actually short!
