I am 24 wks, have ferociously painful SPD and 3 others - one of whom (the nearly 6 yo) got upset this morning on the way out to school because he was baking at school but thought he shouldn't be and would be in trouble if he took in ingredients (he has mild Aspergers), the next of whom (my DD nearly 4yo) had a spectacular tantrum, refused to go to school or to put on her shoes - we had to start the walk with her in tights only.. and a 2yo who was screaming cos everyone else was. I am ashamed to say that after a wk. of being tantrummed at by my 4yo i just started to cry. I had to drag her to school so I could get DS there - 5 mins late (not too bad). My pelvis is agony at the front and I feel like I've just had enough at the mo. To make matters more tricky DH is in process of finishing last 3 mos of MSc whilst working fulltime. He was out at 6.30 this a.m. and not back till 7 and has to work all w/e on MSc assignments.

OK - thankyou. Feel much better for sharing - even if noone bothers to read. Will go and cook tea - last leg of the day!!

nice easy day then?

Poor you, I'm not surprised you were in tears, anybody would have been, I bet you feel like a single parent at the moment!

Stigaloid · 14/03/2007 17:18

I don't know what SPD is but your day sounds extremely tiring so here's a great big hug for you!

(((((((((((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))))))))))

lulumama · 14/03/2007 17:19

bless you

right , find a big piece of material, like a sarong,,,and tie it tight under your bump, around your hips, might help your SPD a bit...

then, when your kids are in bed..you go to bed !!

leave DH a tin of beans for his supper !

useful website for SPD sufferers

i cried at school when i was pregnant with DD aafter DS had tantrummed all the way there....sobbed in the classroom...all the kids were mesmerised/ horrified!!

Really sympathise with you cupcake. I've found being pg hard work, and can't imagine how you must manage it as well as having other children. I bet you are doing a fab job. Is there no way DH can just take a couple of hours out this weekend so you can just have a bit of time to yourself - even if it is just to have a bath in peace, or better still pop to a coffee shop and have tea and cake and read a magazine? You deserve the break!

Ohhh cupcakes, I had many a day like that when I was PG with DS4....I feel your pain sister..I feel your pain

If it make you feel any better having 4 children is 10,000 times easily than having 3 while PG. (Having 4 children is easy full stop TBH)

Miaou · 14/03/2007 18:32

Listen to da LTH cupcakes, she talka da sense

Lots of sympathy from me too - SPD must be really crappy

cupcakesgalore · 14/03/2007 19:06

You are all sooo lovely - I'm sitting here in tears. DS has just screamed for the last half hour over a sticker..an Asperger-y day if ever there was one. Thanks all for the tea and sympathy - and the SPD ideas. Thinking of osteopathy - I wonder Lulumama do you know if it is worth it. I had this with all 3 pgs. and haven't tried any alt. therapies till now. LTH - I will hold that thought that 4 is better than 3 and being pg. . Relieved you said it really, because I've been clutching at that straw for a fair few wks now. Being pg. is exhausting isn't it! Also, to add insult to injury it turns out the person who apparently wanted to buy my car is actually trying to scam me. Roll on thursday!

Cupcakes, I promise you, absolutley 100% without a shadow of doubt being pregnant when you've got 3 young children is 1,000,000 times harder than having 4 children.

In the 8 weeks that DS4 has been here I've been 10 times more active than I was in the entire 9 month of the pregnancy (can't guarantee I've been less stroppy though)

I hope the rest of the PG whizzzzzes by for you

LadyTophamHatt · 14/03/2007 19:37

and look at that, it 's getting easier and easier.

only 10,000 times easier at 17:27 and now its 1,000,000 times.....

tinkerbellhadpiles · 14/03/2007 19:43

I sympathise. I had horrible SPD. Luckily I found an osteopath who cured me first visit - very very lucky for me because I was in a wheelchair. Luckily also for me it was my first so I wasn't doing any more than sitting around whining!

I could give you his number if it helps? But he's in Oxfordshire.

lulumama · 14/03/2007 19:46

osteopathy is good, and this is mean to help too, Mctimoney chiropractor and good old physio, which you should be able to get an NHS referral for.

pookey · 14/03/2007 19:49
