I'm only coming up to 10 weeks, belly is getting a little firmer
I've started using bio oil as I think there's no harm in starting early
Does anyone recommend anything else to use? I can't stand the smell of palmers cocoa butter x

I use the Clarins body oils and A'kin fragrance free body cream, both really good. 36wks and no stretch marks yet so fingers crossed it continues! Don't forget the boobies and sides of your belly x

I used bio oil from the time I found out I was pregnant, don't forget belly, sides, lower back & boobs, I did it day and nights..I had no stretch marks.. Although I've read that if you're going to get them then you will, however the bio oil would help to fade them so no harm to use it

I'm sure they all do the same job really, I would go for an oil and a cream though. Use the cream when you are in a bit more of a rush but try to let it sink in before you get dressed, use the oil when you have a bit more time to massage it in. When your belly starts expanding I'm pretty sure most of it end up absorbing into your clothes Confused

I used Kit+Kin occasionally (when I remembered/could be bothered) and didn't get any stretch marks but when I mentioned this to my MW she laughed at me and said it's all down to genes. I think she's right as my friend religiously used bio oil twice a day and she is covered from boobs to bump to bum.

I used palmer's stetch mark cream for first pregnancy (know you say you don't like the smell, just mentioning it for reference) and no stretch marks.
This time around I treated myself to Bio oil (because for what it is, it is a treat and smells nice...) but just bought a stretch mark oil from boots own range at £7. I put it on in the evenings and really massage it in (boobs, tum, hips, thighs -inner and outer). I friend said she used Johnson's stretch mark oil which was amazing - and also reasonably priced.

Coconut oil is great and cheap too

I used Palmers coconut stuff, Bio Oil and other variations when pregnant with DS. I got stretchmarks from my pelvis to bra line across the entire width of my stomach; my boobs; backs of my upper arms; knees and thighs.

This time I've used a normal Nivea moisturiser, no stretchmarks added to the collection whatsoever.

It depends on the pregnancy, your bodys elasticity and a whole host of factors.

Bio oil twice a day. Buy it in Primark - so much cheaper than Boots!!

I've been using bio oil and creams all the way through my pregnancy so far.. I've got no stretch marks on my stomach yet but I have lots on my thighs and bum.. fizzy is right tho I think if you're going to get them you will! X

It's one of those things, you are either going to get stretch marks or you're not. They happen deep down in your skin so nothing you put on your skin will prevent them...it just can't sink far enough down to make a difference. When folk say they used them and didn't get stretchmarks it's kinda just anecdotal. My sister used Bio oil etc religiously and still looks, as she puts it, like she was "hacked by a maniac with a cheese grater". I used nothing but a wee bit of coconut oil towards the end when I was uncomfortable, and mine are not too bad. Luck of the draw.
BUT oils and creams will absolutely make you feel more comfortable while your bump expands, helping the itching and burning.
