Baby's head engaging. Is it supposed to be so painful?!

Just that really! This is my 4th baby and I don't remember having this pain with any of the others. I'm 36 weeks and am certain that this little one is going to make an early arrival, consultant has said that baby is particularly small and may be putting a plan in place in the next week for delivery depending on growth at the next scan. I've never had my waters break on their own either and I swear I can feel them bulging (sorry TMI!)
I think I'd better pack my hospital bag soonish!

Dd engaged in 1 movement for me and was what I'd imagine a professional boxers knockout punch felt like. Good luck and hope you have a good experienceSmile

I'm 36 weeks too and it feels like I have a small elephant using my cervix as a trampoline. Baby is only 2/5ths engaged so far so can only imagine the pressure and fanny daggers getting worse.

I'm 39 weeks and felt a lot of pressure as baby started to engaged - really uncomfortable and weeing every two minutes. She's now 2/5 engaged (so nearly there) and I actually notice the pressure less but get the occasional sharp jab which makes me jump. Weird!

I'm 38 weeks and have recently started to feel more pressure, particularly when I'm walking/standing. It's making me waddle more and causing me to pee/feel like I need to pee more.
It's really uncomfortable and can be slightly painful.

My baby wasn't engaged at all at 36 weeks so I'm assuming this is what that is.
