Just that really, looking for other people's experiences. The first time I was pregnant I didn't have very strong symptoms and only a bit of nausea, I miscarried at 11 weeks. Second pregnancy I threw up a few times a day most days from 7-14 weeks and had my ds. I'm 7 weeks currently and while I have been very queasy and needing to nibble constantly to keep it at bay, I've not thrown up. I guess there's a bit of anxiety at the back of my mind that not having my head down the look means that things aren't good. I am keeping positive about everything though! But just curious to hear other people's experiences.

I so understand your anxiety as went through the same thing - in fact I was so worried about my lack of vomiting that we ended up having a private scan at 9+5 and everything was absolutely fine. I'm 11+2 and not thrown up once although, like you, have had a nausea which I can only keep away by nibbling regularly.

Try not to worry, apparently around 50% have vomiting, another 25% just nausea and a further 25% nothing at all so not that unusual. Good luck for your pregnancy and sorry to hear of your previous loss x

Try not to worry about it too much, every pregnancy is different.

I had very little sickness in my first pregnancy and it cleared by 12 weeks. I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with my second and I've got HG this time - still throwing up multiple times a day and I've been admitted to hospital a few times. Both times I've been pregnant with a boy and both completely different.

I'm 38+1 (not that I'm counting down the days or anything) and haven't had any sickness :)

LaPharisienne · 06/05/2017 11:09

Bad morning sickness with #1, currently pregnant with #2 and haven't experienced anything like this before... horrendous. Can't remember when it started but it was very early on both times I think - maybe 4 weeks (so a couple of weeks' grace after finding out I was pregnant)?

soundsystem · 06/05/2017 11:12

I've had horrendous morning sickness in all 3 of my pregnancies. Two healthy, full-term babies and one miscarriage at 9 weeks. So in my case nausea/vomiting wasn't an indicator of how things would go.

Fingers crossed all goes well for you this time. It can seem a long wait until 12 weeks!

AgentOprah · 06/05/2017 11:57

Ds1 - crippling nausea in the mornings from 6-16 weeks, no vomiting. DS2 - felt queasy sometimes first thing. DD - vomitting morning and evening plus all day nausea from 6-14 weeks. So no pattern really.

tootsieglitterballs · 06/05/2017 12:13

First pregnancy - nausea from 5 weeks and full on sickness day and night from 9-20 weeks.
This pregnancy (currently 11 weeks) nausea but only actually sick a couple of times , however there is still plenty of time for it to appear!

AnyFarrahFowler · 06/05/2017 22:10

Nausea with both, although it faded much earlier the second time around - at about week 9/10 compared to week 16.
Hope you're doing ok OP.

User99573864 · 06/05/2017 22:13

No vomiting, just food aversion and nausea. Currently 11 weeks with no.2.

fuzzywuzzy · 06/05/2017 22:15

Severe morning sickness and almost ohpditalised with dd1, nausea and hieghtened sense of smell a bit of morning sickness with dd2.

Food aversions and sickness only when brushing teeth or if I was really hungry with this one

Bambambini · 06/05/2017 22:15

No - for both pregnancies. I felt pretty great really- just lost my appetite and wentboff alcohol.

ijustwannadance · 06/05/2017 22:18

None at all. I got the horrific migraines and nose bleeds instead.

Labour was a different matter. I threw up enough in 18 hours to more than make up for the previous vomit free 9 months!Grin

BalloonDinosaur · 06/05/2017 23:36

I was nauseous for a few weeks shortly after finding out I was pregnant but was never actually sick.

It lasted a few hours from when I woke up (not necessarily in the mornings as I was working night shifts)
Dry crackers, ginger biscuits and travel sickness wristbands all helped me.

Fingers crossed for you OP xx

ScarletSienna · 06/05/2017 23:40

None at all. Had food aversion but apart from that and no periods (and a growing stomach at 6 months), I had no symptoms.

Oopsypoopsy · 06/05/2017 23:46

Ahh that's awful! I'm glad you're not worrying but nobody would blame you if you were. I'm on my 3rd and this is the only one where I had proper nausea at the beginning. With my first everything was so easy, no bad symptoms just a lovely round belly. 2nd one no nausea but I just didn't fancy anything, just salad and fruit, very healthy foods so couldn't complain as I hardly gained any weight. This time I've felt terrible most of the time, I had about 2 months of feeling great once the nausea passed at about 12 weeks then it's been one thing after another ever since. You just need to thing every pregnancy is different and hopefully this time you're just lucky not to have sickness. Good luck. x

peaceloveandbiscuits · 06/05/2017 23:55

I threw up with all three pregnancies. All started at 5-6 weeks, first was terminated at 9 weeks, second lasted until delivery. Currently 36 weeks with third and still going strong.

Please try not to worry. It can be different for all pregnancies, every woman is different.

Cagliostro · 07/05/2017 00:01

Nausea in all three pregnancies here, never any vomiting (I do have an iron stomach though and have only had about 10 episodes of vomiting in my entire 30 years)

DD, felt sick a lot although was able to carry on mostly as normal, first trimester only
DS, felt sick and had a weird metallic taste in my mouth, first trimester only
Current pregnancy, absolutely 24/7 debilitating nausea. So much worse that everyone was joking that it must be twins (it's not). It feels ridiculous to be so completely knocked sideways just by feeling sick (especially as I'm not even puking) but it's controlling my life and I'm hoping that now at 13 weeks it'll start easing soon.

I know many people have much more variation between pregnancies though so try not to worry (easier said than done I know!). I hope everything works out for you.

AmyB1986 · 07/05/2017 10:02

I had nausea in all of my pregnancies. With my daughters I had hg but this one just nausea, not actually thrown up. The vomiting however has been replaced by extremely sore boobs which I've never had before and pregnancy eczema everywhere! Itch like crazy! I have massive patches of red dry skin, no creams help.

ememem84 · 07/05/2017 10:12

Just nausea here first pregnancy and am 19 weeks. Nausea went around week 14.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 07/05/2017 10:17

No. None in first pregnancy and none in this pregnancy (I'm 9 weeks). Thankfully because I do not cope well with nausea / vomiting

EssentialHummus · 07/05/2017 10:27

Food aversion and nausea here, now 22 weeks with my first.
