Sleep bra?

Has anyone tried the really soft non underwired bras to sleep in overnight?
Only a 8 - 9 weeks pg BUT the boobs pain, especially as I roll over and move a lot in my sleep actually wakes me up cause of the soreness. Thinking of a cheap sleep bra until they are a lil less tender (they were already a decent size before pg (e))

Thoughts, experiences please? Smile

Gosh isn't pregnancy glamorous lol!

I loved my mothercare sleep bras when I was pregnant. In fact I think I wore them for a considerable length of time after the DC were born!

I've got a lovely hotmilk sleep bra - bought it when my first was a baby and have been wearing it since about 20 weeks this pregnancy.

If you're planning on breastfeeding, might be worth getting a couple of soft night nursing bras, I've gone through so many bra sizes during pg and bf (3 dcs) that you might get some use out of them the other side once your boobs settle back down in size!

I'm an e cup too when not pg or feeding, and found I def needed the support at night. (If you find it too constricted, you could always try a nursing vest, the ones with built in support and the clip down straps).

I still wear the ones I bought when pregnant with DS 4 years ago!! They were from JoJos:

Very comfortable and gave enough support to help with sore boobs without being a nuisance when trying to sleep.

Thanks ladies Smile

OH thought I was nuts when I said I think I would benefit from a bra at night

I bought a pack of mothercare jersey sleep bras when I was was pregnant with my eldest. I found them so comfortable that I have worn them ever since. One fell apart not long ago and had to be thrown out. The other one is just about hanging on.

My DD has just had her 20th birthday.

arbrighton · 04/05/2017 22:03

I wore my existing sports bras at that point I think and that helped- they coped with the first cup size and a bit change

I bought a jojo 'sleep bra' but it isn't supportive enough to be of any use

I'm only 6 weeks but such sore boobs, I didn't want to spend too much because I know they will be huge in no time so I got this one reduced in Tesco. So so comfy for sleeping in and cost me €3.70 Grin

I wore a sleep bra from that stage, so much more comfortable! I got mine in ASOS or New Look.

hotmilk one is great

MabelTheCow · 05/05/2017 15:34

I wore a supportive vest top under my pj top and bought some pj tops with built in bra support things from bravissimo. By 13/14 weeks, I was ready to go back to just a baggy pj top though as the tenderness wore off.

ScotsLamb · 05/05/2017 18:36

I'm currently wearing non underwired from Matalan with a crop top type top from Sainsburys as bras during the day and night. I go up a lot of stairs at work so need them to stop joogling.

brownear · 05/05/2017 18:47

I was an E before and have gone up to a G. The sleep bras didn't seem to do the job for me - wouldn't accommodate my big boobs Blush but got some super soft nursing bras from M and S that do the job - I sleep in them a lot. Thankfully the boob pain has faded a lot in 2nd tri so don't need to wear one every night any more

NinaMarieP · 05/05/2017 18:49

I've got had DDs so I've been wearing a maternity bra to sleep in for the past couple of years! I can't stand being braless around the house so they're great for coming in from work and whipping the underwires off as well.

I've got some from New Look that I've had ages and I've got a not-maternity-specific one (actually slightly better) from Sainsbury's. None cost more than £5 but they are great.

Oh and I'm 27 weeks pregnant now hence the had DDs, they're at least an exploding E now Confused

Other tip is to hug a pillow when sleeping to keep your upper arm from leaning on the boobs. I did that from about week 5-13 give or take.

Bravissimo does a sleep bra up to J cup www.bravissimo.com/collections/sleep-bras/

googietheegg · 05/05/2017 18:52

I've worn these m&s non-wired bras at night for ages, including during pregnancy www.marksandspencer.com/2-pack-non-wired-crossover-a-e-bras/p/p21078931?&mcptredirect&edcredirect

I wear these in large. I was an 34E before and gone up to about a G and they fit well. Nice and stretchy

Thingymaboob · 05/05/2017 21:28

I bought a pack of two from next. Really comfy

I've got the ones MarzipanPiggy suggested. I love them - and they're handy after the birth because you can stick pads in them if you need to and feed with them on.
