Help with nausea

I'm almost 9 weeks and the nausea feels like it's taking over my life!
I feel like eating is the only solution, not that it lasts long
Can anyone recommend healthy snacks to eat at my desk
Or any other tips? X

My sister in law suffered really bad with sickness all she could manage was rice crackers and tinned peach slices! Try something light like crackers and see how you get on Smile luckily it hasn't really kicked in with me I just suffer after I eat with indigestion Confused

I somehow managed two weeks on Tesco ham and cheese mini crackers and water.
I had to eat pretty much constantly, just nibbling. And it helped to eat before I got out of bed, a good twenty minutes before I got up. Ice lollies were useful too.
Just be aware that baby will use your stores of nutrients, so whilst you're hanging out your arse and suffering baby will be ok.
And if it's too much, if you can't keep water down then go see your gp for medication
There's no medals for bravery.

I would suck on mint humbugs or toffee's... seemed to help whilst doing so but not when they were finished!

Fewer calories than all the carbs I wanted to eat...

Crackers, salt and vinegar crisps, lemonade, sour sweets, rice crispies.

Bubble gum chewing gum saved me

I'm the same. Only 7 weeks but been feeling sick for the last two weeks. Eating helps but only for about 20 mins then the sick feeling returns.

Luckily I can eat most things. Carbs are best. Been trying to eat toast. Sandwiches. Bananas. Crisps. Apples. Crumpets. Soup. Hummus. Yogurts.

I'm eating every hour or so. Small things regularly seems to work better than big meals.

Make sure you have something handy to snack on especially at work or when out of the house.

It stopped last time round at about 14 weeks. I keep telling myself that it's a good thing as hormone levels can cause the sickness. I had a mmc two years ago at 11 weeks and hadn't felt sick at all.

Congrats

I'm only six weeks but been really suffering the past week or so. Whilst I can't offer any advice on healthy snacks I would just eat what you can - no matter how random! Little and often and try and eat before you're actually hungry if that makes sense?

I've been eating Monster Munch, crumpets, lots of toast and innocent smoothies as it's all I can stomach! Everything else smells too much. Confused

Oopsypoopsy · 07/05/2017 00:37

Fizzy water really gave me some relief!

pastabest · 07/05/2017 00:48

Eat what you can stomach in the rare moments you feel like eating and don't try to be healthy to the detriment of getting actual food into you if that's not what you fancy. The baby doesn't care if it's strawberry donut calories at this point!

Interestingly the only things I could face eating at the low points with morning sickness were really crispy apples. 30 minutes before I gave birth I suddenly and desperately wanted a crispy apple (and had packed some following a last minute dash round Asda - I must have had an inkling).

Not even a huge fan of apples, don't think I've eaten another one since I gave birth!

BunloafAndCrumpets · 07/05/2017 00:49

I took cyclizine. Ask your gp if it feels terrible. Don't suffer to the point of despair! Hope it feels better soon.

I'm 12 weeks & so far have gone through phases of eating bourbons, Ritz crackers, potato waffles, plain hula hoops & now BBQ hula hoops. For me it's been a case of finding one thing that works & eating basically nothing else until I can't face that one thing anymore, then I have to find something else. I've been queasy since 3w. Really hoping it passes soon!

I always kept a bag of Granny Smith apples in the fridge and ate them cold- really helped !
