Baby pushing against front

Hi all,

I'm 30 weeks and the baby is regularly pushing against the front of my belly under my belly button. This "bulges" on left or right side. I think head on one side and bum on other. Is this normal? It feels quite a strong force/pressure. Not painful but uncomfortable.

Thanks

I'm 29 weeks and have this the last few days. Pretty sure this baby has an 'uncomfortable positions for mum' guide book and is working its way through! 😬

I'm 33 weeks and baby's bum regularly sticks out a bit, just above or sometimes to the side of my belly button. It can be a bit uncomfortable sometimes.

Thanks for reassurance i'm not alone! It makes me nervous because I have been trying to track the baby's position and it feels like he must be lying sideways (transverse) so i want him to turn before birth... at least i still have some time...

Yes, totally normal! This is my fourth, and I'm now 33 weeks. Getting the familiar bulges here and there too sticking out.

Baby is just stretching and pushing with feet. Probably wondering why everything's getting a little more squashed in there!

Expect lots of wriggling and squirming and funny shaped lumps from here onwards.

Don't worry about the position, as they still have plenty of time to alternate between breech, transverse and head down at this stage.

If it's any help, I had a growth scan on Thursday and baby was head down. Yesterday and today I've had the lopsided belly and baby working through the book! Think they are still able to move round quite a lot at this point.

He could also be lifting his wee feet up to his head so don't panic too much about position - it's easy to misinterpret.

Ditto!! Exactly the same, consultant said was normal 👍 Xx

Thanks ladies. Sorry to hear so many of you are also uncomfortable. I'm hoping that I can see the midwife later this week anyway so I'll ask her about it if I do.
