Anyone else with hip, back or pelvic pain want to come and have a sympathetic Brew with me?

11+3 and looking like crutches will be mine before 20 weeks (again). Horrendous SPD/PGP with all three pregnancies. I am stoic this time and paying for private physio, but I know it won't hold it off completely.

For any newly diagnosed, hang in there - it's horrible, but it's rarely permanent and you will get better in the end!! Believe me after a wheelchair with no.1 I wouldn't be here up-duffed with no.3 if I didn't think it got better in the end.

And anyone who needs proper advice in place of emotional support and the odd Biscuit with your whinge/gossip/rant, please go check out www.pelvicpartnership.org.uk who are AMAZING and have a helpline and everything (who I have sobbed to on occasion before).

Oops; pressed send too early...
But I do completely agree with keeping going to gp/midwife. Get support & help. But don't take random drugs. :(

Hi all, can I join? 31 weeks with DS2- had PGP last time from 16 weeks and about the same this time. My problem is the left side of my SI joint which is causing hip pain and occasionally getting stuck unable to weight bear on that leg. Have done the NHS fit backs and bumps program but found that chiropractic helped more. Doing Daisy Birthing classes and the movement helps too- but now finding loads of the movements too hard (knee supported squats-yeah right)!

I'm trying for a VBAC- have any of you successfully laboured in previous pregnancies with PGP? Did anything help or anything to avoid?

Hey folks, I'm 18 weeks with my second and starting to get some unwelcome twinges Sad
I had mild PGP with DS but never got referral to physio or anything, just self managed with epic pillows, paracetamol and lots of rest.
This time round with a toddler the rest part will go out of the window, and my core is rubbish, so I'm worried it will be worse Confused
Already having to be careful turning over in bed (who knew something so basic could get so painful?!), and have a proper support pillow on my wish list. Forgot about the bag on car seat trick, will have to give that a go!

Hi fluff, as I've said mine was fairly mild with DS, so maybe not the best one to ask, but we had a normal delivery. A water birth actually, which was amazing for the pelvic pain - it just wasn't an issue whilst floating Smile I couldn't stand to be on my back at all whilst labouring, and I don't know how much of that was due to PGP, but luckily I didn't have to be except for one exam, so it went well.
