Bad animal aversion ruining things

I don't really know where to post this but I need some help or just a place to vent.

My partner has two Siamese cats. I know I have animal aversion during pregnancy (happened last time with my cat who went missing last year) so I knew what to expect. The smell of the food, the mess, even them sitting on me turns my stomach. It feels like my skin is crawling.

That would be manageable except they have behavioural problems. So I will come across something reeking of cat wee every day. One of them even weed on my favourite cardigan while I was stood there. They've peed on my step son's bed and the latest one is in the bag of cloth nappies for the new baby and the towel I used to dry myself this morning.

I want to cry I hate them so much. We are both vegan and my partner wouldn't consider rehoming them, I wouldn't ask him to, but if they keep doing this I really think I'm going to have to move out. I can't cope.

Also forgot to say they have a litter tray and constant access to the garden so it's not accessibility issues.

Was your aversion for the entirety of your pregnancy? Could someone cat sit for the first few months?

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 21/04/2017 10:15

Animal aversion or not nobody likes their clothes smelling of cats piss!
I am a vegetarian but wouldn't be happy with that either!!
Can the cats be more contained in the house? Utility and access to outside but not the run of the house maybe?

I had this! My nan has a little shitzu and I just don't want him near me at all. Can't explain why, I don't think he's dirty or that he will hurt me but the thought of being near that dog gives me a panic attack.
She puts him in the garden when I visit.

We are trying to shut doors and keep them out but they're still managing it, I have a three year old who can't go and play in his own room now and needs me to open and shut the door for him, it's awful and I don't think I should have to live like this :'(

We are both vegan

Were you expecting advice to eat them?Wink

Ravioli 😂😂😂

Sounds like you need to call in a behavioural specialist for them. That's not normal behaviour and needs sorting out. Have you spoken to the vets?

One of my cats wee's everywhere when she's stressed so we have to make sure to give her lots of space, never get another cat (we tried, it failed, they went to a new home) etc.

ravioli Siamese tend to be quite lean... wouldn't be worth the effort! Wink
