Hello! I starting to decorate the baby's bedroom, and looking for inspiration.a lot of the photos on google images seem quite fake looking. What is your baby's bedroom like? Post a photo if you're happy to share. We are having a boy but trying to avoid the whole blue/pink thing as would prefer to have a range of colours and not force blue on him!!

@Fuggyann : your room is really distinctive and different! I like it! Are the trees wall stickers, or a mural? And where did the blue bedside tables come from? Thanks!

The wall is a mural, and i think the tables came from IKEA, they are a couple of years old. They're metal, and if i remember correctly come in a few bright colours!

Fuggy, how did you do the mural? Did you do it yourself? It looks great. Any tips would be helpful as I'm hoping to give it a go myself.

I chalked the basic shape of the tree and then painted it in with white paint, i went over it with paint with glitter mixed in a couple of times when i was happy with it. For the leaves i used a template, i laid leaf shapes out on the branches to space them out and then used a cardboard cut out to draw them on with Sharpie. I painted them straight on with paint mixed with glitter and did a few coats just to make sure they were solid.

I did it over a couple of weeks because I get frustrated with it all really easily, which meant to could make changes after I'd got used to it!

Sherbet I love that colour. Don't think OH would be too pleased if I asked him to repaint the nursery again though Confused

Thanks Fuggy. I think I might give it a go, although I'll probably have to do it in the next few months and I don't fancy climbing ladders in my third trimester!
