I have been trying to get mine for 5 weeks and NO boots stores near me (I have tried 6) have them. They practically laugh me out the door. Anyone actually managed to get one?

Oh no. I remember them being crap in 1999 are they no better? I remember getting one around the birth and one in a box around weaning time. V underwhelmed.

fruitpastille · 07/03/2017 20:24

The only good thing is the teeny sudocrem that you can put in your change bag and refill.

Floggingmolly · 07/03/2017 20:31

They used to be a lot better. Dd is nearly 16; that time it was full of decent sized samples of everything from nappies to washing powder to hand cream. Smile
When ds2 arrived it just had a load of coupons.

pho3be · 07/03/2017 20:34

Good.

They're just after your contact details so they can forever spam & junk mail you

Jellybabie3 · 07/03/2017 20:35

Ok thanks ladies. About 13 years ago i worked for mothercare and spent alot of time handing these out to super excited mums to be and back then the contents were ok. I feel robbed they are so crap now Sad ive waited a long time for mine. Ah well. I will give up the hunt.

The only useful thing in any of the bounty packs I got was the child benefit forms.

That was in the pack I got after baby was born.

Floggingmolly · 07/03/2017 20:39

Wasn't that how they got people in hospitals to take them and hand over their details? By pretending that this was the only way to get a copy of the form?

nonameinspiration · 07/03/2017 20:41

Buy yourself a small tub of sudocrem. Job done with less junk mail

fruityb · 07/03/2017 20:44

I got the little tub of sudocrem! That was it! Was gutted the freebies my sister got when she had her son were awesome. Dwindled over time.

champagneplanet · 07/03/2017 20:47

I got one in Tesco yesterday, it's only worth it for the free pack of tesco newborn nappies. The only other samples was a small pack of sensitive wipes and a tiny sudacrem. The rest was leaflets and a couple of coupons.

Oh and a free pen!

RedCrab · 07/03/2017 21:26

Ahhh Jelly I can totally understand that. It's an integral part of the initiation into pregnancy, right?

But really they're full of coupons and sales-y stuff. And they just want your info to spam to forevermore. They do make out like it's the only way to get the child benefit form, which is a really annoying way of holding people random. There's many more exciting things coming your way with this pregnancy - much more so than the Bounty pack Smile

nursebickypegs · 07/03/2017 21:31

I got mine and wondered what the fuss was about! 2 nappies, a tiny pack of wipes, a pen and a toys r us catalogue. Erm thanks?

Jellybabie3 · 08/03/2017 08:51

Ok thanks ladies. My quest for a pack is over. You'd think we'd get something good for surviving the first trimester 😕 what a disappointment!

I got given mine at my booking in appointment. Chucked straight in the bin.

First it was crap, just leaflets and an excuse for them to bombard you forevermore. Secondly I didn't want to carry something that screamed "PREGNANT!" when I hadn't told anyone yet...

Victoriajax · 08/03/2017 11:09

Same ere I have tried everywhere! !!! I also emailed them to complain but no respond 😠😠

nursebickypegs · 08/03/2017 11:26

Redcrab the photographers are still in full throw! We went to look around my ward and they were just sat around waiting. I've put in my birth plan that I don't want them anywhere near me after the birth!

BillyButtfuck · 08/03/2017 11:34

Mine came with 2 non bio washing tablets which I used when I ran out and couldn't drive to the shop, other than that the whole lot got chucked in the bin.

nursebickypegs · 08/03/2017 11:40

A bit OT, is the Emma's Diary packs any better?

fruityb · 08/03/2017 12:17

I liked my Emma's diary one

Celticlassie · 08/03/2017 13:35

The Emma's Diary ones are also full of leaflets, but (between the 3 packs) do have a couple of nappies, some tummy butter samples, a couple of breast milk bags, a couple of breast pads and a couple of (what look like very thin) maternity pads. Some non-bio washing powder too.

They signed me up for loads of email lists but I just unsubscribed from them one by one as I got them so it's not been too much of a hassle.

nursebickypegs · 08/03/2017 16:44

I find Emma's diary to be quite useless TBH, her actual diary made me want to throw myself out the window. Not sure if I will bother. Why don't they give us vouchers for free wine for when baby arrives??
