7 month old son and just found out pregnant

Hi,

My son is 7&half months old and we've just found out that I am pregnant again. Please people who have been in a similar situation give me advice on feelings of guilt. I feel so sad that my baby won't be my only baby and I'll have to share my time with him. Is it normal to feel this way?

No negative comments please I don't need to hear it.

Like youmystery my DC3 feels he has missed out on not having a playmate close to him in age

There is 11 months between DD and DS2, I was desperately worried when pregnant with DS2 that it would be hard for DD and that I would get it wrong. Fast forward 3 years and they are a right wee double act, I actually feel sad that DS1 was an only child for so long because the two wee ones are great together. Although they all get on, DS1 does sometimes feel a little pushed out because he's so much older.

I have an 18 month gap and it's great. Much easier in terms of them being at similar stages and enjoying the same things - parks, playgroups, soft play, even up to things like Disneyland!

Obviously it's hard work too, of course it is, but I wouldn't change our gap at all. Even now at 12.5 and 11 it works - they argue yes but they get on really well too.

I have a small age gap between my first 2 so they don't remember life without each other, therefore I don't feel they have missed out on anything. A small age gap is lovely, mine often get mistaken for twins, ha ha! X
