35+3 weeks now, second pregnancy but didn't make it this far last time as DD was born at 35 weeks due to pre-eclampsia.
Feeling really short of breath, got a weird pins and needles type feeling in the bottom of my chest. Everything feels like an effort, even getting up to go to the toilet.
Anyone else have this? What is it? DH thinks I should ring assessment unit, but I'm not sure. We were only there Saturday for reduced movement, don't want them thinking I'm a hyperchondriac.

I wouldn't be impressed either. While Clexane is vital for many patients to take during pregnancy, it does carry certain risks and with you so close to the end of your pregnancy, I would think it odd that they are not taking steps to confirm you absolutely need to be on it. I'd also want to know what the problem actually is, if it isn't a clot. I assume from what you've said they suspect the clot is in the lung? Can you do anything to have your scan hurried along?

You probably already know this but just in case, Clexane can limit your access to an epidural during labour - need to be a certain length of time post injection before an epidural can be placed. So you may wish to explore other options (other pain relief, planned induction so injection can be timed correctly, etc) and ask questions when you next get to talk to someone. It seems the usual practice is to switch patients to Heparin at 36 weeks to overcome some of the epidural concerns, which would be very soon for you.

Also if you are finding the injections to be nasty painful things, do a search on the infertility boards for tips on injecting Clexane - I had it down to a fine art and largely painfree after almost two years of them.

Best wishes.
