How many weeks do you need to be to be classed as heavily pregnant??

Totally depends - it's not so much 'week x' as 'the point where stairs /putting your shoes on' become challenging. Where you need a winch to get off the sofa and when you're rolling out of bed.

Although I put very little weight on, I was short, with a huge bump, hyperemesis and spd so I was waddling and feeling very squiffy when climbing stairs from about 26 weeks. By contrast I have a (very tall, steely abdomened) friend who didn't even find out she was pregnant until 26 weeks and barely had a bump up to 8 months.

If you feel heavily pregnant, then you probably are.

Omg billy - that's quite a bump! Grin twins must be hard work but wonderful too. I kind of hoped Ds would be twins. Now I'm hoping the next one isn't Grin

CheckThisOut 5lb1 and 5lb9, the littlest is now the biggest by about 3 pounds Grin

Crickey Billy they're good weights! My dc1 was 5lb 1oz, at bang on 37 weeks & dc2 5lb 5oz, 35+3!

Must be different for everyone.
I am 25 weeks pregnant and don't even really feel pregnant! Haven't slowed down at all and can still get up and down all the stairs.

Have you had a pregnancy risk assessment done. This should help your case.

I had one soon after I told them I was pregnant....it's just getting too much for me now & it's only going to get busier.

At the time the assessment was done, I didn't ever use the stairs however now I do.

Of course, I use stairs wherever I go it's inevitable but at work it's difficult constantly running around.

Okay okay, il admit it.....you wouldn't know I was pregnant if I didn't have a bump. I've no cankles, I'm not waddling, I've no actual pregnancy symptoms. It's just that work aren't slowing it down for me, they are just hoping il plough along & get on with it until the day I go on mat leave

OP, just sit down with him and say you need to review your risk assessment and tell him what your issues are and what you suggest is done about them (if you have ideas). Your risk assessment should be reviewed throughout your pregnancy anyway.

And I feel your pain, I'm only 24 weeks but have had to step back from any duties that involve anything other than sitting at my desk basically.

It depends if it's your first child or second, third etc, I reckon.

I felt much more heavily pregnant earlier on with my second, probably around 28 weeks.
