Flying in early pregnancy

Wondered if anyone had any advice.. I'm only 4 + 5 days but am due to go on holiday next Friday to Dubai. I've read a few things online saying it's risky to fly in first trimester but the NHS website seems to say it doesn't increase risk of miscarriage, just obviously not ideal if you have nausea or if you do have a mc as not a lot you can do up in the air. Has anyone else flown early on? X

I found out I was 3 weeks pregnant the week before my husbands 30th. We had a trip planned to Ibiza with friends the following week to celebrate when I was 4 weeks and I was totally fine on the flights.

We then got back for a week and flew to Miami, just the two of us for his birthday. Again, I was totally fine even on a longer flight. However, when I was there my morning sickness kicked in and I felt awful, I was 6-7 weeks by the time we came home.

Honestly, the flights themselves were fine apart. I did research it at the time and there is no increase in the risk of miscarriage, which I assume is your main concern as it was mine.

I’m not sure how far you’re going but walk about frequently and drink plenty of water.

My partner actually lives abroad so I will be flying frequently....I actually conceived abroad then flew home and I am flying out again today at 6+1.
I checked with GP and called midwife and both said it was fine.
