We are looking at the Stylo. Well we are looking at everything atm, but this is a hot contender

I don't know what their reputation/customer service is like. Any experience?

the stylo is very heavy. about 19kg i think.

Ceolas · 25/02/2007 12:32

Do you mean heavy to push? Or for lifting in and out of car, etc?

We had a bebecar Adventure (I think that's what it was called) when ds was born 5 years ago. I loved it as it was very light to steer but wasn't easy to fold and was heavy to carry. Didn't have need of their customer service so can't comment on that.

nappyaddict · 25/02/2007 12:38

light to push but heavy to carry. i was looking at the exact same pushchair as our mutsy has just broken. i find that very heavy to carry and the stylo is heavier

instead we are looking at the boogie zooper.

I won't be taking it in the car much after the first few months. Might see if I can try lifting it to see...

if you won't be taking it in the car will you have to lift it to use on buses etc or to put into taxis?

Ceolas · 25/02/2007 12:49

No. It will be for walking from the house, i.e going to school, nursery, shops - all of which are within walking distance.

Think I will get an umbrella buggy for the car from 6 months.

in that case the weight won't be a problem as long as it can be stored without having to fold it up.

have you thought about a 3 wheeler - they are very good if you do a lot of walking?

Ceolas · 25/02/2007 12:55

Not realy thought about a 3 wheeler. What is the point? Are 3 better than 4?

just easier to push over rough ground, for example at the park, beach, woods.

with 4 wheels on rough ground one wheel won't be in contact with the ground so will make it harder to push.

We've got a bebecar style AT (its 2 yrs old) which I think is similar to the stylo. I absolutely love it- it is such a comfortable ride for your baby, although I agree with the other posts, it is heavy if you want to lift it in and out of cars! However, if you do a lot of walking (I don't drive so walk everywhere)I would say it's excellent.

Despite being used absolutely loads, nothing has gone wrong with it (although I shouldn't tempt fate I suppose!) so I can't comment on the customer services.

i had the one below this post too(i think it was anyway)..it was fab, very sturdy, yes it was big and heavy to put in and out of car, but i felt my dd was very well protected in it..got told by a young lad passing when dd was 5 days old it was like the 4X4 of prams

StrawberrySnowflakes · 28/02/2007 19:27

not heavy to push BTW and i loved the fact mine you could turn the pushchair to face you or outward..id go for one of those again!

itwasbanou · 02/03/2007 20:10

Yes, it's great that you can have your litle one facing you, or facing outwards. I also liked that they are quite high up, out of car fumes etc. The suspension is great and it's a lovey smooth ride for your little one.

I really loved the carrycot- I now have 2 under two so am currently using a Firstwheels City Twin, but my baby sleeps in the bebecar pram in the lounge for naps during the day. I think it's comfier for him than his crib upstairs!!!

becaroo · 10/03/2007 20:00

Yes! We had a bebcar confort pram/pushchair combo for ds and it was FANTASTIC.
He slept in the carrycot at night (he was low birth weight) and the chassis is lovely, fully sprung like a proper old fashioned pram! The Pushchair was suitble from birth too and could face either way. He is 4 in June and we have only just stopped using it.
Its for sale actually if anyone is interested!........
