Not sure if I'm going to claim or not, but if your salary is normally above the threshold to be entitled but you won't get any Maternity pay, are you entitled to claim?

I think you should claim. Should your earnings be above the threshold, some or all of it might need to be paid back. But if you don't claim it, and your earnings in the relevant financial year are under the threshold, you will have missed out as I believe the payment cannot be backdated.

I'm in a similar situation and decided that I will claim for that reason. Although I will get SMP and an enhanced package from my employer, some of the time before mat leave will be reduced pay/unpaid as I'm being signed off sick for a little while. So I forecast that I will be under the threshold in the next financial year taking it all into account.

There is no info that I can see that says a couple with a combined income over £90k would have to pay anything back (unless one of them earned over £50k by themselves).

It's around £80 a month. If that's going to make a big difference then investigate further. I thought it was 50k for the tax charge?
