Do you wear pads in case of waters breaking?

I'm 37+2 with dc2. Just occurred to me that o didn't really think about this last time, ds was elcs at 38+6.

But, was thinking I should put something on the bed and maybe wear pads from now on? But what sort?

All four of mine exploded everywhere just before baby came out. Towels on the floor helped, a towel in my knicks would not have.

Mine went in Morrisons Blushthankfully I had trousers on but rushed out as was afraid I'd leave a trail .....

Mine have never gone. Went shortly before having ds1 in birth pool and popped by mw with second to get things moving.

Mine went at 34 weeks in a movie style whoosh so a pad would have been no use at all. However, my bladder was jumped on and squished a fair bit do I always had a pad on just in case!

Mine went slowly in small gushes for a couple of hours, so a pad in my case was handy. They then went fully as soon as I arrived on the birthing unit in a proper whoosh, water everywhere moment.

Mine went in bed and I managed to leap out of bed and take two steps onto the tiled floor without making too much mess. Then I stood in the shower for 20 mins as it poured out of me. A bucket would have been more useful than a pad. It is funny because the previous week I had thought they might have gone because I had damp knickers and I phoned the midwife and she said it wasn't my waters and I would know when my waters went for sure. She was right!

the only pads that are of any use are the thick maternity ones but even they won't cope with a massive gush. mine went in the bathroom but I didn't immediately go into labour and was booked in for an induction the next day anyway as was 2 weeks overdue. you'll need a pad to wear after waters go as they will keep trickling out and the midwife likes to check waters to check colour.

No pad would have coped with my waters breaking. They went everywhere and kept gong, it was worse than anything I have ever seen in a film.
