I'm SO confused!!!
Who would have thought the things that become important that you didn't even know it's a thing Confused

Trying to find nice unisex newborn clothes to do us for hosp and the first couple of weeks but my god! What the hell size???

Every place has different weights and sizes then what if I have a little 6lber or a big 10lber? That 2 different sizes! Or what if my 8lb baby is short and squishy or long and skinny? It's a minefield!

Then add trying to find nice unisex and I'm frazzled!!!

Anyone got any hints or suggestions before I lose (what's left of) my marbles??

Newborn size but don't get too much as will probably outgrow it quickly. I think 0-3 months will be big even on a big newborn.

My 9lb 7oz DS1 was in his newborn things for several weeks. In fact, DH and DM had to make a special trip to go and buy some newborn things because all we'd got was 0-3 months stuff after being told we were getting a big baby. He was quite scrunched up so was, I think, more comfy in the smaller size initially...

I had an 8lb 2 59cmer and he was in newborn for a month ish

I then had a 10lb 2 59cmer, who even the theatre staff gasped at how big he was.

He still wore newborn for three weeks or so! And newborn nappies.

I packed newborn and upto 1 month because my baby was estimated 8 to 9lb. She came early and nothing fit so my partner and family had to go and buy tiny baby. This time I'll have tiny baby and newborn just in case.

My 10lb 1oz little boy went straight into 0-3!

Newborn will fit most, may be big on 6lbers and small on 10lbers but ok on average.

Dc1 and dc2 both 7lb something. Dc3 packed newborn and at the last minute threw in one 0-3 babygrow 'just in case'.

We had no idea he would be 10lb5oz!. So until dh had been home and got our 0-3 stuff, he only had the one babygrow as his legs and toes were all squashed in the newborn things.
