Hi all, I'm 36 weeks with my 3rd baby and I am so terribly uncomfortable. Baby is healthy (although apparently big) so I know I shouldn't complain but let's be honest these last weeks suck!
Any one want to share them with me? We can support one another through this. Smile

Hi all, 38wks tomorrow with DS5 (10yr gap, no girls for me!) growth scan last week put him at 6lb3 which is huge compared to my last 4 who ranged from 4lb10 to 5lb9 all at term! Feeling huge and achy! I've been nesting by proxy as my mum has been round a lot blitzing the house with me directing lol almost wishing he'll come early so I can sleep again 😂

Seems like there are a lot of boy mum's here! I'm also having my third boy. Growth scan at 32 weeks put him at 6lbs....I'm afraid!!
I hardly slept at all last night. Tried napping there but other two kids are so loud!

Hello all. 37 weeks. Achy hips at night and a 3yo who loves to jump on my bump unexpectedly. Today I snoozed and he's watching way too much iPad.

Trulyamnearanear · 08/01/2017 16:19

4 more days of work if I survive it.

Birdlet · 08/01/2017 16:46

So glad I'm not alone in feeling miserable! Haircut cheered me up for about 30 seconds on Friday 😂 then had my baby shower yesterday which was lovely but so overwhelming. Still got the hideous cough too, my stomach is so so sore!

I've been given a massive hamper of foods I've not been able to have while pregnant - things like pate, nice cheeses, champagne, proper coffee and so much chocolate (I've become severely lactose intolerant since falling pregnant!) so I'm currently having a strop that I've got so many lovely things and I can't have any of them 🙁

bellaboo88 · 09/01/2017 16:37

Omg birdlet that must be torture!!

Anyone started doing things to speed up the eviction process yet?

I swear spicy sausages did it for me last time! Had a tiny bit more plug this morning after a very uncomfortable night (sore back/heavy bump) and I'm covered in some sort of bites over my bump :( Still not expecting anything to happen just yet though. 36 week appointment on Wednesday- hate not seeing mw as much!

Tip for the birthing ball - I tend to not sit on it but kneel in front of it to get baby to turn when it's uncomfy (I always have bum in the ribs or back to back with legs all over)

LondonRoo · 09/01/2017 17:12

For those who have been there before - did you get any early signs or a gradual build up or did labour just start quite suddenly?

I don't feel any different - if anything I'm feeling better as not working now so getting more rest, making nice dinners and generally going at an easy pace has made me feel better than a couple of weeks ago.

Getting impatient for some action although I'm only 38 weeks so still plenty of time to go!

sj257 · 09/01/2017 17:23

38+5 now, quite a few pains in the past few days but they don't come to anything Sad

Birdlet · 09/01/2017 17:27

Bella it's bloody horrible! Have hidden them all now - it's not quite as bad, but I still know where they are...

I'm wondering the same Roo - for those who aren't first timers, did it all come on quite suddenly or did things gradually build up? I've been trying to avoid reading people's experiences of labour but I should really start thinking about it...

Trulyamnearanear · 09/01/2017 18:11

I only felt laboury on the day I went into labour (thankfully). I lost my plug in the morning and by about 5-6pm I was pretty sure it was labour. Went to hospital 2am. I was restless and uncomfortable for a few hours before contractions, but that was it.

Gregwar · 09/01/2017 18:23

My BM is 8 weeks...so pretty much all of you are further than she is.

Despite obviously not feeling the strains of pregnancy, I'm pretty miserable feeling strains in the relationship. Things are not going well between us. I feel so shut out of everything and I want nothing more than to be with her and be there for her. Not for personal gain but simply because I love her and would literally do anything for her.
I get mixed advice from everyone I tell and as each day progresses, I feel all the more lost. I'm trying to keep my head up and I'm trying to stay positive and do all I can to grow as a person and as a man because I live by the phrase "what's meant for me won't pass me by?". It's just so conflicting with how I feel about her. I hate to know that she's sick and drained and feeling weak when there's nothing I can do and nothing she wants me to do.

My advice to anyone who has a willing partner who will do anything for them...let him. Make him bend over backwards and wait on you hand-and-foot. It's how men are wired. They like to fix things.

Hope you all feel better soon.

ittookme1hrtothinkofthisname · 09/01/2017 21:04

Roo and birdlet I didn't feel signs until labour day either. I cleaned all day and then noticed I was getting cramps pains. When I went to the hospital I was told I wasn't in labour. I had him 4 hours later! I didn't loose my plug and they broke my waters. I had a planned section with my first so I only have one experience despite having two kids.

This time though I feel different again. I am getting A lot of "signs" let's hope it happens soon as the pains are destroying me. The school runs killed me today.

Urgh. 36+1, been on crutches for 8 weeks for SPD. Feel like a useless beached whale, am so grumpy, and getting more miserable by the day because the pain is getting worse and worse. Tramadol doesn't help, and my husband has to inject me with heparin daily which a little bit makes me despise him even though it's not his fault.

URGH.

Hopping onto this thread! I'm 38+3 and SO bored. Put swimming costume on yesterday with good intentions for exercise, but nearly cried at my appearance - took off and ate mince pie instead. Thought I was having contractions on Sunday, but I think it was just trapped wind!! Lots of pressure in my pelvis, restless legs, sore hips, snoring all night (to OH's despair). Sorry to hear of everyone's woes - not long to go now! I've been eating lots of spicy food (not unusual for me though), demolished a pineapple and dtd all to no avail. Come on baby!

LondonRoo · 10/01/2017 10:50

Come on babies!!!!

Mrs H - know what you mean about the trapped wind... The symptom spotting is incredible!

bellaboo88 · 10/01/2017 22:45

Day before I went into labour I just felt uncomfy, like one side of my crotch was agony (bizzarely had that today!)

Went to bed, 2.15am I felt 2 pops - after the first one woke me, I realised what happened and jumped out of bed to catch waters in a towel. Period pains ramped up & I had him by 12.46.

The symptom spotting kills me. Best thing I've read this time is that you're more likely to start when your body's relaxed as in nature, you feel safe where as if you're anxious/on the go too much, your body thinks it's unsafe. Makes sense.

I read a tonnes of birth stories...more people tell the scary ones than they do the nice ones as it's their therapy to talk it out. But it's good to know what can happen in different circumstances.

36w Appointment tomorrow, praying this rash goes as it's so itchy!!

I'll warn you now -I wouldn't let my hubby rub my back in labour. Just needed him to be there just not touch me lol! He knew it wasn't me pushing him away just I couldn't stand it

sj257 · 10/01/2017 23:15

My pelvic area feels like it's split in half today.....38+6....

JackandBump · 11/01/2017 00:09

40+1. Baby currently feels like he is kickboxing to get out! Confused

lexi873 · 11/01/2017 13:19

38+1 today feeling like I've got a little sumo wrestler in there.
Went to get my nails done earlier and the lady said to me "ooh boys are always early"... well my last son was 12 days late so meh 🙄

ittookme1hrtothinkofthisname · 11/01/2017 13:22

I had a checkup today. Baby is engaged and I'm measuring 39 weeks. They made me do another mini GD test as he's measuring so big. I'm starting to panic a bit about his size! Having lots of pre labour signs now. Just wish it would happen.

My best friend was due 6 days before me but gave birth this morning - 2 weeks before due date! Mum and baby doing well, baby is beautiful 💕

Hate to admit it but I'm feeling thoroughly miserable and just a little bit jealous 😟

bellaboo88 · 11/01/2017 19:31

It's horrible when someone you know is close time wise! My best friend is 3 weeks ahead of me! Going to be awks if I'm early/she's late!

36w appointment today, measuring 34cm & 2/5 engaged (2/5 outside of pelvis) can't remember last time around, wish I'd taken pics of my notes as they keep them!!!

BonesyBones · 11/01/2017 23:25

Well my DS3 finally made it into the world at 6:30 this morning via emergency csect. Can honestly say that the after effects of the section hurt sooooo much more than labour. Hate having to rely on someone to pick up and pass baby. But at least he's here!

sj257 · 11/01/2017 23:29

Congratulations Bonesy xx sorry you're in pain x
