So I went to Mothercare today and quite liked the Bebeconfort Loola

I'm only 14 weeks, but very bad at making decisions!

I found it smooth to push, good suspension, easy to fold although a bit heavy to lift in and out of car (but nothing in comparison to the Cosatto tandem I had a few years ago!)

But now I see there are loads of bad reviews on here...

did you not think it utterly fugly?

I think it falls down because it tries to be all things to all men - facing both ways, umbrella folding, carrycot, carseat, lightweight etc when really there is no one pushchair that does it all.

f*ck-ugly

No one pushchair does all that - get a big comfy one for walking with, a Techno to sling in the boot and a safe carseat that fits your car properly (am evangelical about this approach).

On the subject of a big comfy one for walking with I am currently fantasising about the Bebecar Stylo. Because it has steering front wheels

Okay Ceolas I am very observant so I would have noticed everyone in that shop - I was in between 11.45 and 1.30 today. Did you see me. I was wearing a big mahoosive long blue maternity dress.

I have just sold my loola after 14 months of using it. I really liked it - it did do everything I think. The only reason I have sold it was

  1. It was quite heavy for a buggy (not for a travel system though which is what we brought it as) so I have brought an ultra light buggy
  2. My ds looked quite squished up in it recently and the buggy we've brought gives him alot more room.

the only think I would say is that if you face the seat towards you it DOESN'T fold up like an umbrella - you have to take the seat off to fold the chassie. because f this it mostly faced away from me and I did half buy it because it faced me. It was fine with the car seat attachment!

I really liked mine

I LOVE my Loola, apart from the shopping basket being such a PITA to get things in and when you do get stuff in there it's v. small!! But other than that love it, especially the name
