PRAMS IN LONDON

Hi - I'm due in 3 weeks and still looking for a pram - wondered if you have any suggestions / recommendations?

I need something light and carry-able on the tube in London - sturdy though and suitable for a newborn to at least a year old? If that exists? Would be ideal to have parent facing, with some storage/basket space. Oh, and not something that's going to break the bank.......

It's a minefield, i didn't realise how many types of pram there were!

thanks in advance!

If you don't want to spend bugaboo money or just want another option to look at, I've been really happy with a mamas and papas sola 2 - it's parent facing for as long as you want (we still have it parent facing at 18 months+ as DC is happy that way and we can chat!), big enough to feel like a proper buggy (unlike a yoyo, although those look great for travel / swimming) but not the kind of tank that doesn't fit on a bus well e.g. Uppababy.

Red - many airlines only let you take a pram to gate if it's under 10kg so that's an issue for those wanting to travel with one pram, it would have to be checked in with luggage.

The bee can literally be lifted up stairs not bumped up.

The BAByzen is the smallest and lightest of you need to be able to fold and carry pram plus baby

100% the babyzen yoyo. I had the bee initially but it's nowhere near as lightweight. Much much preferred the babyzen.

The babyzen just isn't substantial enough in crowds for a newborn

I completely disagree with this, having used once since ds was 3 weeks old.

Oh I see you wanted parent facing. The yoyo isn't parent facing post 6 months but luckily my little one won't tolerate facing me, he wants to be looking out at everything constantly.
