DTs in the morning

Hello all, I was just wondering if anyone else has suffered from really bad DTs in the morning. I'm really shaky and feeble in the mornings. I'm eating a normal breakfast, it was Shreddies this morning, plus a big glass of water, but I'm still really shaky. It happens quite a bit. If I didn't know better I would say it's like a hangover. I haven't suffered too badly with morning sickness, I've been nauseous, but not thrown up, so I don't think it could be anything to do with that. Any ideas?

Maybe low blood sugar?
Have some juice, or toast with jam/honey for instant energy as well as the slow-release shreddies.

I feel shocking if I don't eat frequently.

I did put a teaspoon of sugar on the shreddies, I'm normally such a sweet tooth I can't bear them without any sugar on. The worry is I'm still feeling very shaky and I had breakfast three hours ago.

yes Fio, I'm 9+2. I'm just surprised that it would be low blood sugar, as I've had something this morning. Following on from the weight loss thread earlier, I'm quite concerned about eating too much sugar, as I'm worried about putting on too much weight, I'm already 2 stone over weight. Obviously I don't want to go on a crazy diet, but I'm also conscious I don't want to go mad and stuff my face. I would have thought a bowl of shreddies with semi skimmed milk and a teaspoon of sugar would last me until lunch without me getting all shaky.

three hours ago?! it's time for more food in that case. It's twelve o'clock - time for an early lunch.

don't eat more, just eat more often. eg rather than having baked spud, chicken and salad for lunch now, have the chicken and salad now and come back for the spud at 2.30 when you're getting hungry again.

Thanks for that Mrs Badger, being a first timer I'm totally useless at knowing what my body needs. I spent the entire day on the sofa snoozing yesterday. I rang my mum up complaining I was soooo tired, and she had a real go at me, because on saturday dh and I had a real blitz in the house because it was filthy, spent the whole day cleaning, and then I cooked for a dinner party for 8 people we had that night, and then stayed up until 1.30 at said dinner party, and then got up at 9am. My mum said no wonder I'm shattered!! I forget I can't just keep doing the things I normally do at the pace I normally do things! I'll try spreading my food out across the day and will keep you posted about the dts! xx

It does sound like low blood sugar - I had this and just made sure I had orange juice and dried fruit around to pick at. If you graze throughout the day you shouldn't get to the shaky stage.
