What shortcuts do you put in place when heavily pregnant? What do you do to make life easier on yourself?

Hard to do with older dc and the school run, but I feel quite ragged at the mo....

Rest when you can. Get someone else to cook tea. Go to bed early. Not sure there is much else you can do?

Yes, I thought so too. Smile Getting someone else to cook is tricky due to dh's long working hours, but the older dc can help with supervision. Will try to hold out on relying upon takeaways.

I'll be 38 weeks on friday and DH is more like my personal butler slave than my husband at the moment. I'm very fortunate that he's on leave now and wants to do everything for me - he even puts my shoes on for me as he hates hearing my grunts when I try and bend down and doesn't like the thought of babyBella being squashed! I often wonder how on earth I would cope with children relying on me whilst I'm at this stage- I am in awe of you.

Little things help though (and perhaps your DCs can help) - keeping handbag and stuff on a chair rather than on the floor to avoid bending down. I've swapped to slip on shoes when I can get away with them. Little tasks like washing up is painful on my lower back so we share the load, and I hoover downstairs and he does upstairs (or vice versa) so I'm still active just not taking on everything.

Dry shampoo has become my best friend...

God I sound lazy Grin

After school club?

Batch cook and freeze/use

So make a basic mince veg pot then turn...
One into a spag Bol- just add pasta
One into a chilli- just add rice
One into cottage pie-frozen peas

Other simple suppers
Cheese on toAst and raw veges
Beans on toast
Scrambled eggs on bagel

Let them watch to/iPads etc and be a little less slack with your standards x

My DC is at nursery one day a week and on that day I get home, put my PJs back on and spending the day watching TV, reading, and napping. Only minimal housework or making dinner (so I don't have to do it later) are allowed.

Oh and yes, over-reliance on Paw Patrol in the afternoons with my toddler Blush
