Oh wise Mumsnetters, please help me out here, because it's been an awfully long time since I was pregnant myself and my memory just isn't that good. I want to get a small present for a work colleague who is pregnant and I can't remember whether it is ok to use normal body lotions etc, or whether you need something specifically aimed at pregnant ladies. I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money, so grateful for your wisdom.

One of my colleagues got me some cussons mum and bump bath stuff which smells lovely. Normal body lotions and stuff are fine though, it's just some essential oils to avoid

Actually I have to second Mum+Bump bath sets - I can't remember the couple I've had but the smells do trigger all the right emotions Grin. Plus, I've always considered these gifts to particularly thoughful with a dash of body sympathy thrown in Wink

I'd like some burt bees lip balms or hand creams. Moo goo travel kit is awesome and in my hospital bag- unscented and natural too.

I don't really like all the Johnson's type products to be honest.

I know its boring but maybe it is best to go down the gift card route. It would be a shame to buy something to find the expectant mum cant use it for whatever reason- I avoid bath products because I have a perfume allergy and lots of products bring me out in an allergic reaction!
