Last week my baby didn't move much for a day and I had a growth scan that day and I told her he hasn't moved much at all and during the scan he moved his hand and she said well he is moving so he is fine so you won't need a stress test doing because I have seen a movement..... so basically my baby hasn't moved much yesterday he normally has about 2 different hours of non stop moving usually after lunch usually after dinner and often when I get into bed too! But yesterday these episodes did not last an hour and he moved 1 little movement when I got into bed and Iv felt 1 little movement this morning. So I'm completely under the impression that one movement is perfectly fine??

Not fine- call your midwife and she will tell you what you need to do. Good luck Flowers

Have you tried the usual tricks to get him moving, like lying on your side, drinking cold water, eating something sweet? If so and he's still not moving as he usually does I would call your midwife.

1 movement may be fine for a baby that hardly moves much anyway, but 1 movement for a baby who usually moves loads (as you describe) may not be usual, if you see what I mean?

Might be because he's so warm and cosy in there he cba to shift, but get yourself checked out for peace of mind. Flowers

Nope, I agree with scary. Ring up to get checked over. I had a change in movement with DD (I think she'd repositioned). I got checked out at the hospital and they said I could go up every single day til I had her if that's what I needed to be reassured. Call your community midwife to be checked over again.

BigApple11 · 08/12/2016 07:49

Call your midwife or delivery suite Flowers

CwtchMawr · 08/12/2016 07:50

Please get checked out. It's not worth the risk.

BikeRunSki · 08/12/2016 07:51

Ring your midwife, but try not to panic. Your baby might just be running out of space to move much.

BigGreenOlives · 08/12/2016 07:53

Go and get checked every time you have concerns. Make the most of modern medicine (scans etc).

GruffaloPants · 08/12/2016 08:02

Go in, get checked. Things can deteriorate quickly.

SpaceDinosaur · 08/12/2016 08:20

Agree with all the PP. Call your maternity unit, go in, get checked. They are so so good with this.

SeashellHoarder · 08/12/2016 10:13

Not fine. Go in. Midwife will be able to check movement, and assess properly.

It's probably nothing, but you'd never forgive yourself if something were to happen.

Please don't think I'm being rude OP but I've been on these threads myself since being pregnant and have noticed (which isn't a sin) you post at least once a day with a query.

I noted that your going to have a poorly baby! could it be your very anxious about things? I also noted this is your second pregnancy.
I can only imagine i would be.

Have you thought about writing all these queries down and asking your midwife face to face instead of on here? Im only saying this as all we can offer is you speak to your midwife. Your midwife knows you, has your notes etc and can examine you as appropriate.
