I'm 32 weeks hand haven't seen my foof for a good few months now.
I'm just wondering how everyone maintains their lady garden while pregnant Xmas BlushI've been shaving and I hate it, not to mention it's getting near on impossible now (I have an enormous bump) .... can pregnant ladies use hair removal cream?

Honestly... I didn't bother! But then again, I'm pro-having pubic hair anyway (I tried waxing once and it was so hideous.)

MyKingdomForBrie · 07/12/2016 11:07

I used removal cream, just read the leaflet. I only used it once after the first trimester though, most of the time I just let it do its thing! Wasn't exactly a priority..

Mouthfulofquiz · 07/12/2016 11:08

Could your other half help or would that be a step too far?!
You could set up a system of mirrors I guess Grin

BreatheDeep · 07/12/2016 11:10

Just been trimming mine a bit but that's all I normally do anyway. It's very uneven now as I can't see or reach properly! Don't really care though and didn't with my first either.

They advise not to remove all hair for birth anyway as it increases risk of infection apparently.

mumof3nearly4girls · 07/12/2016 11:13

My other half actually asked if I wanted him to help after I had a rant about being a hippo that can't do simple tasks anymore lol. But I said I could manage, purely me being stubborn!
I'll maybe try mirror system haha, it's not a priority at the end of the day by any stretch of the imagination but not giving up yet lol xx

I can't see it or reach it anymore so not sure what's going on down there! Thinking of asking dh to help me out with a tidy up for birth just not sure how good his beautician skills are Hmm might be better just leaving it!

topaz22 · 07/12/2016 12:15

watching this as i've got the same problem! shaving is like a workout and takes about 15 minutes Blush

mumof3nearly4girls · 07/12/2016 12:19

I'll be giving hair removal cream a go on Friday so will let you know the outcome haha Confused
Oh it is such a work out, and as soon as I think I'm done I feel loads I've missed Hmm

Out of sight, out of mind!

DoubleCarrick · 07/12/2016 12:31

I bought a lady shaver and use it with the guard on. It isn't amazing but allows me to keep the hair short enough so that it can't be plaited but i won't cut myself trying to work around my bump. I also use it without the guard to shave my legs now

thecatsarecrazy · 07/12/2016 13:55

I've got dh to do it before our last 2 children were born will probably get him to do it again. Its an effort to even shave my legs now.

basket75 · 07/12/2016 20:17

I go for my normal wax although having had it today it was much more painful !

PberryT · 07/12/2016 20:29

Oh mines roaming free right now.

What should I do for birth? Trim or full shave? I'll have to get dp to do it either way!

Princesspinkgirl · 07/12/2016 20:34

I am 37 weeks and do it in the shower it is a hit and miss job though lol

mumof3nearly4girls · 07/12/2016 21:05

PberryT ... I would also like to know how far to go haha, full deforestation or trim? What's everyone's preference for when you know you'll be due. With my last baby I went in with a full on bushy bush, but I since then I've been keeping bald basically. Hmm odd post I know lol

DoubleCarrick · 08/12/2016 08:35

I think it's down to preference. But I believe there is a slight risk to infection if you're freshly shaven or waxed due to the open pores

frikadela01 · 08/12/2016 08:42

I planned to get dp to give it a trim but in the end couldn't be bothered so went in with full on 70s look down there. It's still like that now 5 months later. I really should sort it out really.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 08/12/2016 08:44

DH trimmed me with his electric shaver using the beard attachment. He is quite pervy and likes to do it still, 16 years later...

TerriB84 · 08/12/2016 14:05

Pre-pregnancy I used to epilate (just to keep tidy rather than full removal). Once I got to the point where I could no longer see what I was doing I went and got a wax (again just a tidy up). If it wasn't for the fact I was still going swimming I honestly wouldn't have bothered. Currently 36 weeks and debating whether to go get a pre-birth wax.

MINIgiraffe · 09/12/2016 04:20

I gave up completely, shaving down there around 30 weeks (now 40+4).
Gave up with the legs shortly after (never realised my bath was so small).
It's a chore to get the razor out 'just' for the pits, plus it's winter so that's really on an 'need to' basis only.
Not sure if im m looking forward to resuming normal hair removal processes in a few weeks when I can reach again Grin

Notmyweek2 · 10/12/2016 00:22

I've let it all grow out....only thing I keep up with is my under arms!

I do plan on using a mirror to have a look down there & see if anything can be done to clean it up! I don't plan on having any fun time in that department for at least 5months, so may just grow it out & see just how long I could get it!

Kel1234 · 10/12/2016 00:35

I was able to fully shave down there myself until about 36 weeks I believe (I was very small though). Then my lovely dh (reluctantly) did it for me.
I hate not being shaved fully down there, and i get very irritated when I have hair growing back.
(After the birth was the longest I've not shaved since I started doing it years ago, and that was only 3 weeks I didn't shave).

Dueindecember2016 · 10/12/2016 14:42

I used hair removal cream as I too can't see what's going on at all.

Just made me feel a little bit better down there :)

Oysterbabe · 10/12/2016 14:52

Let it grow
Let it grow
You can't hold it back anymore
