"Morning" sickness second time around?

If you had bad "morning" (all-day-long) sickness with your first pregnancy, did you get it again second/third/more time around? My first (only) time was pukey hell... terrified about it happening again!

I'm afraid I did. It was different from the first time (more all day but probably a tiny bit less intense, tiredness would knock me out for days afterwards, still puking at 20weeks with a big bump). Sorry!

Yes unfortunately I did. With DC1 I was sick from the start of pregnancy until he was born. Including vomiting throughout labour.

With DC2 I was much the same except this time I continued to be sick until he was about 2 days old.

In some ways it was easier to deal with the second time round. I had 9 months of experience and knew what little tips and tricks made me feel slightly better and what I should avoid at all costs. But DC1 had just turned 1 when I fell pregnant again so the lack of rest really did not help the situation.

Yes I did, sorry. It was worse the second time, I think because I had the added tiredness compared with the first.

Slightly opposite view; I had absolutely no morning sickness (only slight nausea for about a week) with my first and second pregnancies, but with my third (current) pregnancy I can barely eat or even smell food without vomiting (tmi, sorry!). Every pregnancy is different - only time will tell for you.

I did, but whereas I just put up with it first time round, basically being housebound until about 17 weeks, I demanded drugs as soon as it started the second time. Thankfully they worked and I didn't have the constant nausea and was only sick a few times rather than the 8 times a day previously. I couldn't have coped with that and a toddler.

I did, all three times, sorry.... just as bad each time (and a mixture of boy/girl)

Yes definitely, unfortunately but always went at around 16-20 weeks.

Yes, sorry. I have appalling first trimesters. 3 out of 4 were truly awful (this current one being the worst), the only one that was "easier" i.e. some degree of normal functioning was maintained through the nausea was the baby who had a lethal condition and trisomy 18.
