32 weeks, low lying placenta discovered. Any experiences?

I had a scan yesterday at 32 weeks which showed that baby is now breech (was head down at the scan 3 weeks previously), and despite 5 scans already, this is the first time that a sonographer has said my placenta is low. Apparently it's clear of the os, but comes up to 2cm away from it. She said it could be a reason why the baby is breech - he might struggle to stay head down because the placenta is "in the way". They are going to rescan at 36 weeks to check the placental siting then.

Anyone had anything similar? How far away from the os does a placenta need to be for a vaginal delivery (assuming he turns)? Does a low placenta carry increased bleeding risks?

I've just been told the same thing. Low lying placenta. Posterior it says on my notes. But I wasn't really given any information. Due at midwife Monday so can ask these questions. I'm booked in for an additional scan at 32 weeks. They say a lot of the time the placenta moves up. About 90%. But if it doesn't then it's c section. I'm told it can cause bleeds and we shouldn't lift at all. But this is based on what friends have told me.

I saw my midwife this morning, she said 2cm clearance at 32 weeks is usually ok, but we will find out at the 36 week scan and decide then. It shouldn't cause bleeding unless the placenta is covering or abutting the os. Don't know if that helps you at all?

So for now I need to try and turn this boy. Which would probably be more comfortable tbh, his head is pressing against my ribs which can be really uncomfortable!
