I'm pregnant again

Should i do it right away, or hang on? I told him right away last time. Can't wait to see his face- he's going to think i'm joking.

Haven't got any advice, but

CONGRATULATIONS

What ever your doing you must being doing it right!!

When you tell him has to depend on how pregnant you are and what he is like.

If he is a family man just tell him. If not hang on.

Well done and congratulations.

he doesn't have kids (yet). We get on very well though- he was very supportive when i was pregnant at work, following me round the office and worrying if i was away from my desk for more than 5 mins! I had to keep telling him i was pregnant, not ill!

He is going to have a fit though! He's desperate to have me back, and i'll be back for about 6 / 7 mths, then leaving again!

it also depends on what you do and wher you work. There is a risk of beign sidelined at work if you tell them too sooon.

DetentionGrrrl · 14/02/2007 15:11

that was my only concern- i'm going back 4 days a week instead of 5, and i've had to take a technical demotion for this. I won't have my title anymore, but i'm taking all my favourite duties over to a new role, for the same money. I have said i want my new job description in writing before i go back.

Detentiongrll ? we?ve spoken before but congratulations again, reading between the lines, your employer has already been accomodating to change want you do and am I right in thinking that you are not back yet? If I were you, and I say this because I am in a new job (only been here 11 weeks) I would wait and prove my worth in the amended role first so that you can demonstrate that for at least the forseeable future, you are there and able to do you work as required. Obviously, that becomes hard if you are unwell and need time off but it?s still very early days. Hope this helps.

yes, i think i may hold off for a few weeks after my return. if this pregnancy goes as well as my last one, work shouldn't be a problem. My new role is a pared down version of my old one, so all my duties are ones i excelled at anyway.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's faces when i tell them though

I am going through this at the moment. Got back from maternity leave in August last year and am looking at a second round in October. The only reason I am thinking of telling them is in case I have another m/c and need to have a couple of days off. Otherwise, if I were in your situation, I'd leave it until the 12 week mark.
