side effects of whooping cough vaccine

Had my whooping cough jab today and I feel really rubbish. Nauseous, headache, tired- now to be fair I've had all of those this pregnancy, but wondered if anyone else felt this way too?
I've taken cyclizine and it's done nothing.

Feeling a bit woe-is-me.

I was going to start a thread about this! I have mine booked for 16+1 & I have the day off work afterwards thankfully.

I'm still on my anti sickness medication too. The headaches are the pits. The joys of pregnancy!

I don't think it's effective for baby until 20 weeks. Best check before you turn up.

NHS website says 20 weeks onwards, Scottish guidelines from 16 weeks. Weird.

I'm in Scotland and had it at 16 weeks. No side effects at all apart from a sore arm!

Sounds unlucky. I was fortunate not to have a single side effect from the whooping cough one, not even a sore arm.

My flu shot this year hurt way worse than normal though, to the point I couldn't sleep on that arm for two nights.

Having had whooping cough for the last miserable 5 (yes FIVE) months I'd heartily recommend having it even if you feel shitty for a day or two after. It's nothing in comparison.

Def 16 weeks in NI - have leaflet from midwife booking in & there was a feature in our local paper this week - think because its recently changed they are really highlighting the 16 weeks.

I had it at 16 weeks here (Scotland). Midwife told me that they'd recently brought it forward so all of their new leaflets say from 16 weeks.

I had it this week st 17 weeks very sore arm and felt a bit off in the afternoon but nothing too bad.

I had it in Wales at 16 weeks two days ago. No ill effects so far.

I had it at 25 weeks in Scotland at same time as flu jag, one in each arm. Wish I'd not had whooping cough in left arm - my arm was so sore I couldn't sleep on my left side for 2 days. No other side effects from either jag though

I've had the whooping cough vaccine twice in pregnancy now, and the only side effect I've had is a sore arm for a few days afterwards.

I was pretty ill after the whooping cough vaccine even though the nurse said there would be no side effects

I can't really remember what the symptoms were but I did end up going back to the doctors.

The flu jab two weeks after that didn't even give me a sore arm so I know it's not just me being over dramatic

I had mine yesterday. Have woken up with an agonisingly sore arm and what could best be described as an awful hangover.

I just had a very sore arm. Over here in oz they give it in the third trimester.

No side effects in either pregnancy. My cousin nearly died of whooping cough though so I know which I'd prefer!

Just a sore arm the next day for me, for both flu jag and whooping cough.
