When do you find out when your 2nd midwife appointment will be?

I have had my initial appointment.

I am now 11 weeks and having my 12 week scan next week.

When should I find out when my 16 week midfwife appointment will be?

Didn't your midwife tell you to book your next appointment when you were done at your first one? They don't magically book themselves. I sympathis though, when I was first pregnant I found most medical professionals I encountered seemed to expect me to know the procedure despite my never having done it before!

Did your booking appointment take place at your GP's surgery? If so that's probably where you'll see your community midwife for your care so I'd book in via the GP appointments system to see her at 16 weeks. Alternatively, call the community midwives office at your local hospital and they will be able to help.

After I'd had my 12 week scan, I rang the GP to book in with the midwife. To be fair, my mw is ace and talked me through it all, otherwise I wouldn't have a clue!

You have to book it yourself.
I've had midwife appointments at 8, 16 and 24 weeks. At the first appointment she said it was too far in advance to book the next one, and she asked me to book it nearer the time. I suggest you book it after your 12 week scan.
From 24 weeks onwards the appointments get more regular so the midwife will book the next one for you when you see her.

I also haven't heard yet from the 'Lavender Team' that she said she was referring me to.

Does it say anything in your green book from the booking in appointment? In mine there's a page which shows art the different appts which the midwife went through and confirmed which I'd be sent appt times for and which I had to book myself?

You usually just ring up your GP surgery (if that's where your midwife has her clinics) and book it that way. I'd ring up a week or two in advance (so when you're 14 or 15 weeks) to book your 16 week appointment.

I read your other post OP, you've received some shoddy treatment. I'd phone your doctors and try and book it yourself.

You definitely need to book it yourself and make sure it's with a different midwife!

I would phone and book now. Or at least ask how far ahead they book up. At my gp surgery appointments have to booked 4 weeks in advance as the midwives are only there on two half days a week.

You say 'lavender team' so I may know which hospital you are booked with. Is there a number on your notes for lavender team? If so you probably need to call them and make an appt.
