Does it matter where the foetus is positioned in utero?

Hi lovely ladies,

Had an early scan today and the lady said the thingiemabob is implanted on top of uterus. Just wondering is it relevant where it is for any subsequent development? Or does it make no difference?

No difference to development. The placement of the placenta can mean you feel the baby moving earlier or later and if it's really low it can cover your cervix which has its own problems. But you shouldn't have that to worry about if it's implanted high up.

High is generally good. Low can mean the placenta can cover the cervix and if you have a previous c section then implantation in the scar tissue can be bad.

No it's fine aslong as it's not right at the bottom as the placenta can grow over the cervix and this can cause problems
