I worked out 3 times a week zumba & yoga plus my 10,000 steps a day the whole way through. I done my last zumba class 4 days before delivery. I'm a size 12/14 so not some crazy gym bunny it was just important to me to be fit and healthy as I could.

I managed to go through 4 days of slow labour and a c section then be out shopping and taking ds1 to school 3 days after, after ds1 was born I could hardly manage the stairs with so working out definitely was good for me.

Have you seen the media articles about the women who pole danced in pregnancy and in labour. Does that appeal?

Fletcherl haven't seen it. And nope, doesn't appeal 😂 I'm not graceful and my sense of rhythm is wonky.

smart My exercise regime? Usually around 4 "real" workouts (like, I want to get sweaty and be relaxed after it)

Summer:
At least 3 times mbing (I'd love to go every day....)
Krav Maga 1-2 a week
Went jogging this summer in the pre-conception phase, was recommended to do an exercise I could do when pregnant...
Stretching at home and training with a nike stretch thingy (not sure of the English name)

Winter:
Less mbing
more Krav Maga
Gym... (I don't like going to the gym)
Also home stuff

Now? Yoga and jogging. Plus the stuff at home. Taking the bike to work (I usually do that, I don't drive)

If you want some strength stuff including resistance band workouts then jessie mundell on Facebook is very good. V well thought of by the s&c worldwide

I used bobs cash for clothes and they were fine. Especially good that they take bric a brac and toys etc which is a bonus.
I find eBay such a lot of hassle.

Congratulations on your pregnancy OP! I stopped running (too nauseated) and horse riding but I carried on road cycling to 26 weeks when it just got too uncomfortable for me on the hills. I was walking as much as possible - walked 15 miles just a few days before delivery of DD. Tried to keep it within a "comfortable" zone where I could still talk but at times I felt so restricted and missed the adrenaline rush of a fast run/cycle/gallop. For me the bigger challenge was once DD arrived - I was so taken up with feed-nappy-repeat that even timing a decent walk was really hard. So you will have to come to terms with some significant changes in what you can do at some point soon... in a way the limitations in later pregnancy helped me prepare for life with a little one where I am pretty much restricted to what I can do with her in a sling! We walk a lot now. I really empathise though... take it easy on yourself as pregnancy and nursing is hard work!

I'm still doing bootcamp classes about 3/4 times a week but have reduced the intensity a bit to make sure I don't exceed 90% of my max heart rate

I lift weights 5 times a week. V angry Midwife with her textbook from 1960 forbade it outright. Tried to explain already reduced to 40% of previous weights with increased reps and have modified anything involving lying on midriff or direct ab work... and that I dont expect to make any gains, and it's for my mental peace as much as anything. Apparently no good. Despite much research to the contrary.

I went to pilates last week. Hated it. ...felt like I kept 'waiting for it to start' like a slow film

Backt0Black that sounds a bit 1960s as you've said. Unless you've got any particular risk factors could you speak to a trainer with experience of working with pregnant ladies to ease your mind?

Hi Glitter, I agree, and she would not budge. No issues, mid thirties, weight training to quite a high level for about 10 years, no steroid use, hoping to get back to competing after birth.

Needless to say I am still lifting, but have manipulated diet to be a better vehicle for baby..... added back in carbs, no longer take various supplements etc.

Hi back to black. What do you lift? I do mainly compound stuff eg today's DL were 120kg 5x5 then some back and shoulder stuff at 28/40. Leg press still over 300kg and front squat 70+ for reps (can't get on with back squat or heavier in pregnancy for some reason). My trainer is pretty happy. We've cut by 25% and increased breaks. All dynamic stuff such as box jumps is gone now but otherwise all as before. Is getting harder to get a good dl position due to bump some trying a wider strance to make some space between the kneesfor the bump. Will probably need to shift to trap bar dl soon.

Finding it hard to find supplement info first Breast feeding as really missing my creatine and bALA. Caffeine will stay put it guess and I have the joy of needing to be dairy free to look forward to which will limit whey ect as my kids are all CMPI and so need extended bf ing (joy!)
