Hope everything is going ok and baby is staying put. Wishing you all the best.

Duckyneedsaclean · 18/10/2016 20:07

Gosh, the whole situation sounds so hard, especially with your elder son. I'm around the same weeks pregnant as you, so can imagine how scary this is.

I hope the little one stays put for a while longer x

BuffaloCustardbath · 18/10/2016 20:17

Thinking of you LB, I hope you can hang on in there for a few more weeks yet.

Belfastgirl90 · 18/10/2016 22:26

MouseLove · 18/10/2016 22:36

I'll keep my fingers crossed and you keep your legs crossed. Wink my mum lost her waters at 6 months and went to term with me. I know it's hard but take each day as it comes. Keep calm and focused. Sending positive vibes!! X

Gosh lbmn sorry no experience but just offering a hand to hold. My due date is 11th Jan and can't quite imagine how you must be feeling.

You're in the right place though, I hope they can keep baby happy in there for you.

Have you got plenty to distract you there in the hosp? Could you link into a box set on iPad or similar? Xx

My baby boy was born on Sunday at just 28 weeks and 3 days. I was discharged from hospital on Friday evening. Unfortunately things got bad very quickly and I started vomiting and shaking on sunday morrning, he also didn't move all day. Which was this main reason I went in to hospital. Whilst waiting to see the doctor I had meconium stained waters and I had had him with in an hour. It was a huge emergency and very scary.

There was no meserable fluid (waters) left so c section was tough and i am in a alot of pain.

Baby has an infection as do I but for now he is stable but ventilator breathing for him. Xx

OP - sending you congratulations on the birth of your son.

I didn't see your original post until today - but that was me 11 years ago. I went into labour at 27+4 - I didn't realise at the time, thought it was just back ache but fortunately went to hospital - they stopped the labour for 48 hours but my twins were born at 27+6.

The risks at 28 weeks are still there, but believe it or not its not classed as very early. What weight was he? It will be an emotional rollercoaster - 2 steps forward and one step back, but it really helped to keep a diary, so on the not-so-good days, I could look back at just how much progress they'd made.

They told us to aim to take the babies home at their due date - which was obviously 12 weeks away - although it seemed like a lifetime away. In fact they came home at the equivalent of 36+5 (so they were in hospital for 61 days). I know how hard it can be (and they were my first children so I didn't have the added stress of other children like you have) and it will feel like you have a mountain to climb, but you both seem to be getting excellent care. Take care of yourself too, take each day as it comes and stay strong. Best wishes.
