Baffled! How many prams / car seats / travel systems are there actually out there....anyone?

A shout out to anyone else going through this...I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and as my MIL keeps telling me my hubby was 6 weeks early ... so I have decided to get a move on with finding a pram/buggy whatever box with wheels?

... It's too long since last LO to use theirs so need something new. Or even not new. Not that fussy.

But HOW on earth are you supposed to make a decision? We don;t have a lot of space so I know that's a consideration. And boot space in the car... And where do you put the thing when it's not in use? And WHY are they all so blimmin pricey?

I figure someone else out there MUST be having the same headache as me...

Come keep me company as I slowly tear out what's left of my hair... I have plenty of cake and oddly, honeydew melon (best craving ever!)

Costs more, but the other option a would say bugaboo bee. Best pram hands down. Can buy secondhand usually also

I meant silver cross Reflex, see I'm going mad looking at prams.

My sister had a bugaboo bee I thought it looked quite cramped in pushchair mode when her DC was a toddler, the seat looks quite small & doesn't look comfy for a more chunky toddler.

Unless you're desperately attached to idea of a swanky new one I would buy second hand and save yourself the risk of an expensive mistake.

In hindsight we didn't buy the perfect thing first time round - we had a Quinny Buzz - DS was a Velcro baby and the carrycot was largely wasted as he spent all his time in the sling as newborn. For same reason the option to use the base with car seat was something we rarely bothered with. For a few months being able to have him parent-facing was great but became less important as he got older. Ultimately we decided a lightweight stroller was much more use to us after he turned 1.

However, we bought it for £80 on eBay and sold it for the same - so the fact it only had a few months of solid use was no great shakes.
