Period pains?

I've been having mild period pains all day and don't have any pregnancy feelings anymore. (I was feeling nauseous and hungry but don't anymore)
I've not had any bleeding yet but think I may m/c. (I had one recently and am fairly certain I had similar symptons)
Just wanted to know if anyone alse has been through this?

God, I don't know, I don't want to give you the wrong advise but I was very suprised that once a month, throughout my pregnancy I had severe period pains and everything was fine. Ive read before somewhere that this is completely normal, although, if your worried your probabley best to get checked out.. hope everything is ok

How many weeks are you? I'm 19 and this seems to be a symptom of a UTI for me - I'd definitely get it checked out. Good luck and hope all is okay.

I'm only 5.5 weeks.
Am fearing the worst but have some small hope whilst there is no bleeding.

I've been getting exactly the same thing. I called NHS direct yesterday and the nurse said that this is completely normal and often lasts until 15 weeks! She told me not to worry unless the pain becomes severe or if it is accompanied by bleeding.

In the mean time she said that warm baths, hot water bottles and paracetamol would help (though I've decided that I'm not in enough pain to use paracetamol).

i have had period pains with all 4 of my pregnancies, usually up to about 10 weeks. have never had a miscarriage so cant comment on that im afraid but wanted to reassure you that period type pains are not always a problem, mine were really quite painful a lot of the time. hope all goes well for you

These pains are quite common due to your uterus expanding. It's strangely something that is not often mentioned but actually happens to a lot of people.

The first test I did was negative so when I got these pains I was waiting for period to arrive! It worried me once I knew I was pregnant and did last a good few weeks. Without bleeding and very sharp pains they always say not to worry.

Nausea also was on and off for me for the first few days I had it, then it came back with a vengence so be glad of it.

Try not to worry and if you feel the need please speak to your GP or midwife, if you have one yet.

Hi ppp, I found with my two full term pg's that the symptoms would disappear and come back with avengence around 7/8wks. I also had lots of aches and stretches, but with experience I didn't worry as much with the 3rd pg as I did with the 2nd.

My 1st pg resulted in m/c at 6.5wks, and the pains I felt were definitely period pains, the heaviness I get on my first couple of days of af.

As others have said try not to worry unless the pain gets quite bad and is accompanied by [red] bleeding. Lack of symptoms should not be an indication of m/c ime. One of my bf's bled for the whole of her first trimester due to a blood clot in the womb, she's now 24wks along in that pg

Let us know how things are over the next few wks [hugs]

lol, only just refreshed and saw cinnamon's post - funny we both used the word vengence!! (even though mine was mispelt ) Last just what it felt like!

that's just what it felt like.
